Phipps was very responsive and made an appointment easily on my schedule. The salesperson Joseph was friendly, and did not try to upsell us and worked with us to find the best solution. The price from Chris was good and payment was easy. As you can see from the before and after photos I have attached, when the new brick weathers-in, it will look as close to the original brick as possible. The guys who did the repairs were great to work with, Robert & crew. Only some minor issues, including a few small areas of loose mortar on the front steps, and the entire seam between the porch and the house was not sealed up. I can probably fix that later. Just make sure you are clear to them exactly what you want so it goes into the quote. It was very cold when the repairs were done and they still got the job done in 2 days. They even stained the replacement bricks to match our low-fired look. Also, they peeled the annoying dead ivy vines off! Looks much less haunted now!

Top-notch work! I had several broken bricks in from of my home built in '88. It was impossible to get replacements, so Phipps Masonry was able to recreate the bricks and dye them to match. They were also able to shore up the weakening bricks that supported my porch. I would hire them again without hesitation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a college education in business, and have ran a successful company for years now! And we are blessed to have such an amazing, and friendly staff.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Phipps Masonry is family owned and operated. Masonry has been in our family for generations and we plan to carry on the trade as well. After graduating college with a degree in finance and a concentration in accounting, I was able to start my own company and carry on the trade that I’ve always enjoyed.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently, our company got a call concerning an old chimney. They thought it needed to be torn down due to how deteriorated the mortar was, and all of the mildew that had piled on throughout the years. Our team cleaned the chimney, removed all of the existing mortar joints, and re-pointed with brand new mortar. The chimney looked good as new! We enjoy restoring old masonry and making it look just as good as it once was!
