FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a transparent pricing model by which I follow. My hourly labor rate is $100/hr, then I will charge all materials and supplies as separate line items. I charge a flat fee for mobile welding services based on travel time. On some larger projects, I will require materials to be paid for before beginning the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin with a phone call, where I will learn about the customer's needs. I will often ask the customer to provide pictures to assist in understanding the need. From this interaction I can prepare a repair quote or in person appointment for larger projects.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had my first exposure to welding basics in high school, but learned most of what I know by working for an offroad aftermarket suspension company for about 5 years before moving to North Carolina in order to pursue a career in racing. In the years since, my work has run from the deserts of Baja to the high banks of Daytona.
