(Update: September 9, 2025)Our updated French drains and gravity drain have been installed by another reputable, hard working team from Moisture Loc. They were very professional, careful to listen to our concerns on our drain field and underground cables, arriving on time, getting the work completed in a timely fashion, making sure that the worksite was cleaned up before they left. Work quality was inspected by James, the supervisor, who is VERY knowledgeable and professional. Another outstanding job completed by Moisture Loc. We couldnt be happier! Our neighbors are impressed as well.( January 2025)Do your research, if you will, but start at Moisture Loc because you will not have to go any further. Moisture Loc is a fabulous company that is made up of people who are conscientious, skilled, hard-working, communicative, and take pride in their work. It is smaller than some, which is what we were looking for, feeling that the work quality would be better than with a larger company. They follow through with their commitments and their schedule is like clockwork. The cost of the work we had done was itemized and clear from the very beginning as well as reasonable. There were no hidden costs.We have recommended Moisture Loc to two of our friends and would recommend them to anyone that asked. Both friends have gone with encapsulation; one job in progress, one completed. Both are exceptionally happy with the company. Even the county inspector commented on the exceedingly high-quality of the work done at our house.Our initial contact was Walt, who gave a very detailed diagram with written explanations of the foundation repair that we needed. (We had his recommendations, checked by a building contractor friend of ours, who was in total agreement with him). James was our inspector for the entire project. As promised he was there at both the beginning and after the work had been completed to make sure things had been done correctly. Marlon was the crew foreman who oversaw the work as it was being done. All three men were accessible, extremely professional, and proficient in their areas of expertise..There were different crews that specialized in the various aspects of the work being done. Everyone was friendly, professional, hard-working, and efficient..Our floors no longer squeak and sag after the piers were installed, the rooms no longer smell like mold, the house is much warmer (cooler in the warm months) with the new insulation, and the moisture barrier is doing its job of keeping out any dampness. The team left the yard in excellent shape as well. We feel like we have a brand new house!We are now (August 2025) adding an upgrade to our system, and we are once again using Moisture Loc because we trust them and the work that they do. Carlos was our initial contact this time. He is professional, not at all high pressure, and very thorough. He was clear about the issues that he was addressing as we explored different options and possibilities. He was open to hearing suggestions, and making sure that the best plan was put forward to meet our needs.Moisture Loc has 0 complaints with the Better Business Bureau. The number of complaints is the number to look at. It has an A+ rating. (Many companies have a A+ rating but with many complaints.) They have been in their family business operations for 37 years. It is an amazing company! Moisture Loc is everything a business should be . . .and more.

Earlier this year I heard those words that no one wants to hear about their 7 year old house. Your stairs are sinking I noticed the cracks but believed it was normal settling. Joe with Mint Engineers came out and introduced me to some unfamiliar words. Helical Piers and Angle Irons. In hunting for just the right company to help I chose Moisture Loc. Dan was always available to answer all my questions and REPEATED phone calls. Jerry did an amazing job placing the piers and worked extremely hard to make them as invisible as possible, letting me know he was treated my house as he would his own. Next Jeremy who was the brick mason arrived for tuck-pointing mortar and crack repair. A true artist. Even though I knew exactly where the cracks were I could barely find them.Moisture Loc and their crew were truly amazing. Those stairs will outlive me. I couldnt be happier with the completed project. Thanks to all for your hard work.

Had a great experience with Moisture Lock. They installed Helical Piers and re-encapsulated my crawlspace. Jerry was an absolute powerhouse for installing the piers. His knowledge and skills are off the chart. The crawlspace work was great as well - Moisture Lock came in a fixed a botched job that was done by Carolina Crawlspace Pros who are now out of business. Everything is in good order now and these guys did a really great job.
