We needed to have a refrigerator moved from our garage to our kitchen. There were three catches to this apparently simple request. The first catch is that refrigerator is wider than any of the exterior doors, so the refrigerator doors and drawer fronts needed to be removed (it's a French door refrigerator with 2 drawers). The second catch was the refrigerator needed to be moved into the kitchen within 48 hours (the house is being sold and the refrigerator needed to be in place for the real estate photo session). The third, and most important catch, was we just had our hardwood floors refinished, and the refrigerator could not be moved into the kitchen using a furniture dolly or an appliance hand truck as that could have damaged the finish on the hardwood floors. Hidden Gem Moving was up to the challenge. One of the 'gems', as the movers were called, was an 'expert' with appliance moving and easily removed the doors and drawer fronts. The used an appliance hand truck to move the refrigerator to the front door, then carried it into the house and positioned it on a moving blanket and cardboard boxes that were previously place on the floor inside the door to protect it. Two of the 'gems' then carried the refrigerator into the kitchen, where the appliance 'expert' reattached the doors and drawer fronts. Hidden Gem Moving then check all of the refrigerator functions (dispensing water, ensuring that the freezer compartments and refrigerator compartment were cooling as expected) were working, cleaned the handprints off of the refrigerator, and cleaned up all of the blankets, boxes, and other items used during move before departing. The entire process was handled in a very professional manner, and I would definitely use Hidden Gems Moving for my future moving needs.
