There are no words that can express my gratitude to The Pink Rose Cake Boutique. From day one, Nicoll's excellent responsiveness, professionalism and easy going demeanor, truly calmed my bridal jitters, worries and fears. I had shopped around, but no other baker's work could compare to her's. Her cake portfolio was mind-blowing! All I had to do was send her a picture of the style of cake I wanted and she created an EXACT replica! Nicoll arrived early (in uptown Charlotte traffic) to set up the cake for my reception. The cake stand I ordered independently, was too small. Nicoll quickly remedied the problem for me with a cake board. We had cake flowers and rhinestone trim set aside to decorate the cake. Nicoll volunteered to do it for us and did an outstanding job. Now for the cake... it was absolutely gorgeous, moist and delicious! My husband and I, took some on our honeymoon. Over 5 days later, it was still just as good and moist as the day we cut it! Nicole was friendly, personable, had a beautiful smile, and was just a joy to do business with. I would recommend The Pink Rose Cake Boutique to anyone desiring a wonderful wedding cake experience. You can't do better than the best!

She was great and very understanding. She drove all the way to Raleigh for us and I'm so grateful for that. The samples were delicious! It's one of the best cake I've had. The strawberry was the best..I was craving for it for days. I'm excited for our wedding cake!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    My base fee is $3.50 for buttercream cakes and $4.50 for fondant cakes. There is a fee for delivery and set up that is determined by distance. And there is a $30 charge for cake consultations and tastings. Equipment rentals are $50 and $25 is refunded to the client at the time the equipment is returned.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    When meeting a client for the first time, I first like to start out by learning more about them. That helps me when making suggestions. Once that's complete I ask what it is that they are looking for. I get their likes and dislikes and then we go on from there on what I can provide for them.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    When I was 12 my mom would always want help preparing the Thanksgiving and Christmas deserts. I LOVED baking so it was always fun for me. From there it just turned into a passion.
