I was referred to Kelisha by April at April's Braids & Beads in Durham to do my 7 year old daughter's hair. My daughter is very tender-headed and I let her know before the appointment that she was and that she hadn't had her re-touch in a month or so. My daughter was nervous before getting in the chair and I knew what was about to happen. Kelisha started doing her hair and Malia began to cry. She cried throughout the process but Kelisha never got upset or had an attitude with my daughter. Although she wasn't able to keep the relaxer on long because my daughter said that she was burning, her hair still turned out nice. She didn't charge for the relaxer since it didn't take, which I thought was really great. I appreciate hair stylist that say that they do kids' hair, actually handle a child crying and can be patient and understanding. It does take patience and I commend Kelisha for having that patience with my daughter. Her hair turned out lovely and Malia loved it and couldn't stop smiling. She didn't want to move her head because she was too afraid of the curls falling...which was hilarious to me. The salon was small and quiet and kid friendly and we definitely look forward to going back.

I was refered to Ordinary just won't Du salon by April's Braids and Beads. Last Friday I took my 7 year old daughter there to get her hair braided for back-to-school. A sweet woman named Tasha is who did it. I was very pleased with the staff, atmosphere and the price!!!! We will definately be going back, thank you again :)
