- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When a client has several handyman type projects i.e. furniture assembly, picture hanging, caulking just to name a few my rate is $50 hr with a 2 hr minimum. For larger projects I will submit a quote with my labor and materials. One important note I do not up charge the cost of materials.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to see the requested project in person. By doing this I can make sure I fully understand what the client wants to have completed.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always enjoyed working with my hands. Whenever things around the house needing fixing I would do the repairs myself. All our renovations in our home from the master bath remodeling to installing a vend free fireplace with built ins I completed myself. After 30 years in the corporate life it was time for a change.
