- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not charge fees. There are two ways I can be compensated. The customer and I will thoroughly go over their goals and objectives. We will then discuss the best methods to take care of what their specific need is. There may be certain products I can offer that would be an advantageous solution for them and if any product is agreed on, then that company would pay me. There are many times that no products are needed and the solutions are a matter of implementing the ideas the customer and I come up with. Hopefully they will see the value I bring and be so impressed that they would be kind enough to tell their friends and family about me. In my opinion a good referral from someone you have helped is the best form of compensation.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My late father was a prominent business man in Durham. At age 60 he became very sick until he eventually passed three years later. He had numerous business ventures, business partners, real estate, investments, insurance policies, and worst of all an old will and trust as his estate plan. Trying to figure out what's what and how to figure out all of his personal and business interest was left up to me. Before he died I was able to figure out the best way to set up his estate, learn about as well as purchase financial products, plus allocate his investments in a manor that would ensure my mother would never run out of money. To this day there are still business interest of his that I oversee and through the revised estate planning, my brother and I have many contingency plans that we hope will handle any of the unknowns they may come our way. I fell in love with the whole process and saw first hand what proper planning, product knowledge, and a good grasp of the law was able to accomplish. I love helping others realize these same issues and coming up with the perfect solutions.

Any Individuals and any business deserves to have someone like me to help them get their financial ducks in a row and/or help them market/grow their business.
