We worked with Mayanthi to create a mural in our studio downtown. First and foremost, she does great work. She delivered (and executed on) a beautiful design that has become a visual focal point of our space. She listened to our vision for the project and helped to bring that vision to life.Perhaps more importantly, she is a joy to work with. She communicates very clearly, sets (and meets) reasonable deadlines, and has the type of flexibility/adaptability that is crucial in working with small businesses. She was a joy to have in our studio during the project and we are lucky to have had her work as a fixture of our space during our first year. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge based on four factors: size of the mural ($/sqft), level of detail, timeline for completion, and surface texture of the wall.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we get started, I will learn about your vision for the mural and will begin creating some design drafts. You will pick your favorite and we will go through three revision rounds to finalize the design. From there, I typically take anywhere from 1 day to 1 week to install a mural. This varies based on the amount of time I can be on site, the level of detail of the mural, and if it is indoors or outdoors (weather).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 7 years of painting murals for homes, businesses, health care facilities, restaurants, and more. I have painted indoor and outdoor murals on all surfaces. I also paint window and ground plane murals.
