Introduction: Freedom from Pain is my vision. I use massage therapy, bodywork, alternative healing and movement re-education as tools to help people integrate awareness into their body and create a relaxed and happy lifestyle. I also incorporate 100% Pure-Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil Aromatherapy from doTerra which brings a great depth to my service as it includes the health of the organs and nervous system.
I stand out from other therapists by specializing in clinical massage therapy aimed at progressive improvement of the body's condition. The 900-hour program I attended is one of the top schools in my field, requiring 300 hours more than the state minimum as a way of preparing therapists to work on clinical cases and not simply for spa employment.
Massage for me is not a maintenance package, but a way of releasing pain and experiencing a deep, peaceful relaxation, so that life can be lived more fully. I believe what sets Healcyon apart is the global perspectives and techniques that I bring from many different cultures- including Japan, China, Brasil, and Peru.
My Philosophy is that deep tissue work and releasing old tension patterns in the body does not need to be intense or painful-it can be a pleasant and relaxing experience without losing any of the effectiveness. In fact, I've found pleasant bodywork approaches have a deeper more permanent effect as they override a painful muscle holding pattern with a more open and rewarding circuit in your brain.

I also offer an Eastern Medicine approach from hospitals of China to restore your nervous system to homeostasis so that your body is given the space to heal itself. This is better described as Complementary Healing rather than Alternative, as this works great on chronic disorders that Western Medicine needs help in addressing.
Clinical Qi Gong is reccomended for any organ dysfunction, emotional or mental disturbance, or any disorder in the nervous system (e.g. neuropathy, sciatica, shooting pain, etc.) The treatment is often deeper and longer lasting than Acupuncture because I work thoroughly on the acupoints and stay with you the entire session.
I work with people fully clothed or at their comfort level of undress in traditional massage and hands on work.
I love the moment of transformation. The moment when a client really sinks in to the work and lets go, and the beautiful shine on their face is restored. When a client gets up pain free off the table and is able to step out into the world completely renewed: that's the moment I live for. The level of service I am always aim for.
