FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a student in Mass Communication at Appalachian State University, and am taking photoshop and development classes there. I also subscribe to professional photographic development classes on Lynda.com and Creative Live. I also subscribe to over a dozen photography blogs and my newsfeed on Facebook is always blown up with images from photog friends from around the world. Talk about a way to get your creative on!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a photojournalist at Fort Bragg with XVIII Airborne Corps, photographing the stories of Soldiers and the lives of their Families. There was something so unique about capturing a moment in time, a unique second that will never happen again. As time went on, I discovered that I has a passion for creating beautiful portraits, sharing the special, unseen moments at weddings, and exposing the lives of people who are stunning inside and out.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I usually spend all weekend photographing families, seniors, and portraits or at a wedding. I capture the unconventional, unposed and casual moments. I also like to carefully design conceptual shoots with models and creative shoots with seniors.
