Introduction: "To be a great math student requires understanding the language" Let me help you learn the language! Hello! My name is Tammy Ford. I am a mathematics teacher and lover of the intricacies and uses math affords all of us. Without math: - there would be no smartphone -we would go back to reading a map instead of mapquest and GPS - we would still be turning tv channels - we would still be using the typewriter - we would still be reading paper books (although I still do) I have invested 10+ years to educating students as a math teacher from my beginnings in K-12 to my current work in higher education. Ms.Ford is an amazing tutor. I met her as a one of my church members and over the course of a couple of weekends, she helped me prepare for my algebra 2 final,and I earned a B after taking it. She helped me immensely improve my math skills and also my SAT scores.Whenever I need assistance, I can call on her!

Standard pricing is $25 per hour. I am usually flexible and work with individuals about payment plans.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A typical process for working with new students is to meet and get to know the student and parent without requiring anything from them. I want to see who they are as a person before I can understand how they function as a student. What are there interests, hobbies, and current situation with the topic they are having difficulty in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, a master's degree from Piedmont College in Secondary Education - Mathematics, and am in the process of completing a PhD in Leadership Studies
