FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on square footage, property type, and inspection scope. Single-family homes are priced using standard residential rates, while townhomes and condominiums are typically lower. Multi-family and commercial properties are priced based on size and complexity. There are no hidden fees — the price quoted is the price charged. The inspection fee covers a complete home inspection. Additional services such as radon testing, water testing, sewer scope inspections, or manufactured home certifications are quoted separately based on the property. Pricing reflects time on site, inspection depth, and report quality rather than quick or limited inspections.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We love to get a call or inquiry from a new customer! Typically we will call you even if you send through an online request that gets an online quote generated so that we can make sure nothing is missing in our understanding of your project and how we can schedule and obtain access to the home, etc. Once we have all of the information to get you an exact quote or confirm the quote you received online, we email you that quote and our disclosure document stating that you would like to hire us for your inspection. The disclosure can be signed online through your email and the quote generates and invoice that can be paid online through our secure payment platform. Signing the disclosure and providing payment ensure your job is added to the schedule. All appointments are tentative until you execute the disclosure email. This is especially important for if you need to make certain your inspection is completed during a specific time frame.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years of experience in the construction industry to start. My home inspection training is ongoing. As a Certified Home Inspector I maintain my licenses by mandated continuing education throughout my career. Additional certifications are also part of that process and help me offer more services to my clients.
