Hired on Thumbtack

he left 24 leveling tabs in the grout he said he would come to repair it on mar 28 or definitely mar 30 26 but he didn't show or respond anymore so had to contact thumbtack apr 9th to file claim. then thumbtack told him to fix it mar 15th but thumbtack led me to believe i could get different contractor through their guarantee so I didn't let him fix it. then banks said he misunderstood me when he asked me if I had grout on march 26 and i said i got it so thumbtack said it was miscommunication. banks said since i said i had grout he thought i didn't want it repaired no more,ifhe misunderstood why didn't he respond to the texts and messages on thumbtack when I asked him why he didn't show to fix like he said. so it's May 24th 26 still not repaired got quotes 500.00 to fix. if banks would did quality work they wouldn't been,plus when he tore out old grout he got black stuff all on my baseboards and painted over my latex with oil paint that made my paint come off

Professional in tone and very polite, but very inexperienced. Sloppy tiling work. Having to get work redone.

Thank you Ms Martin for your honesty and business. I am beyond grateful to have had you as a customer. However to say that the work is sloppy is blowing it out of proportion. My company was asked to install materials already purchased by the homeowner on top of a shower spaced poorly demo’d and framed/furred but the homeowner as well. This detail resulted in what has caused you to be unsatisfied with the work. With this being said I do apologize that you are so unhappy with the companies work and that you and yours stay blessed!
