They were so quick in responding. I had a major water leak. The faucet broke and was spraying water everywhere. They came out within an hour and fix everything. Alyssa and her team are absolutely fabulous. Will recommend anybody.and will use agin

I hired Carolina Maintenance Group (Justin) through Thumbtack to install four new kitchen appliances. He quoted $400 to complete the entire job, and I paid a $200 down payment.
Over more than two days at my home, almost nothing was completed successfully. The refrigerator kept shutting off after his work, and my electrician had to diagnose and fix the electrical issue. The microwave was left incomplete - my teenage son and I had to remove the metal stand from the old microwave and reinstall the new unit properly ourselves so it would sit centered in the cabinet. He told me the dishwasher was faulty; my electrician found it had simply been wired incorrectly, corrected it, and had it working in under 10 minutes. The range hood was never installed. I had to hire another professional to finish the job.
He also took $284.46 of my Lowe's materials and never delivered them to my home, instead leaving them at a random residential mailbox in High Point. I had to drive to an unfamiliar address to recover my own property.
I was not going to write a review. I was upset about having to collect my materials from a random mailbox, but I told myself at least I got the material back and I could let bygones be bygones.
Then he sent me an invoice for $225 more - three hours at $75 an hour for "working on hood for stove range" - asking for additional money for a range hood he never installed, on a job he never completed. That is what made me write this.
I am not asking for my $200 down payment back. I just do not want anyone else to go through this.

Thank you for your feedback. We respectfully disagree with several characterizations of the project, which involved installation complications, ill-fitting customer-supplied parts, appliance fit and electrical issues, and work beyond the original scope.
The disputed charge covered labor and time spent at the separately discussed hourly rate. It did not represent completion of the range hood installation, as we were instructed not to return when the project was nearly complete (3 of 3 appliances had been removed and replaced with the new appliances. The custom built piece had been built and while our technician was on his way to install it he was told not to return so we replaced the materials originally bought by the customer and made sure the disassembled items were available for pick up as we did not have a technician available as promptly as he demanded) The referenced materials were later recovered by the customer from the company owner’s residence.
We welcome the opportunity to review the work, hours, and disputed charge and remain committed to resolving the matter professionally, accurately, and transparently.
