Introduction: The first thing I’d like to say is I DO NOT BUILD KITCHEN or BATHROOM CABINETS. I build custom free standing furniture Understanding what the customer wants done is the first goal, then delivering on those goals. Working with wood is a pleasure I have enjoyed all my life. Finding what is waiting to express itself within the wood.

Sam Williams is an excellent craftsman. He completely transformed my she-shed/office by narrowing my door frame to make a door I purchased fit perfectly. Not to mention the outstanding attention to detail with the custom fit of the trim. He also completely surpassed my expectations with the custom crafting and installation of my pull out kitchen drawers. Made from scratch and installed with care and precision. Kitchen is now fully functional with only lower cabinets thanks to Sam! I cannot say enough about how amazing his work product is and he is a phenomenal person with more than fair pricing and commitment to a quality product. I will continue to utilize Sam and share with friends and family for all of their woodworking and custom wood crafting needs!

Details: No existing plans, but have a good idea of what I want • As recommended by carpenter

Sam did exquisite work! He refinished an antique bedroom set that has been in the family for two generations and is now ready to be passed to the third. We’re very pleased with how beautiful and brand new the furniture looks — no more scratches or dull finish. And Sam is such a lovely person too! I highly recommend him.

Working with Mr. Williams was the best possible experience from start to finish. He restored my 73 year old cedar chest - a family heirloom that had been severely damaged - to a smooth, beautiful, like-new condition. His care with the piece and attention to detail was exceptional. I could not be happier with the end product, would definitely work with him again, and give him my highest recommendation for your woodworking needs.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Face to face. Give a customer an opportunity to meet me and visit the work I have done thru Pictures and referrals. There is no obligation in meeting. There is value in a handshake, understanding our temperaments and earning trust. It works for both of us.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My wood working is a trade. Its developed over a period of time learning from other craftsman. Learning to use tools through workshops and class rooms. Your distinction shows in ones work. I attended the University of Tennessee before Vietnam and Graduated from American University after Vietnam.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Thru out my life I worked with wood in my homes, doing repairs on timber and furniture. I retired from my work in the early 1990's and have been doing wood working ever since.
