Introduction: We work extensively with our customers to select top quality music. We offer a do not play list to the client and will not play music from the list at your event. We provide numerous consultations to select music and begin our music selection upon signing the contract. We do not charge extra for equipment, lights, set up/take down or consultations. We work with you to create the best atmosphere for your event, and can create an event timeline to provide a pressure free event. One of the most satisfying aspects of the job is working with the client to create the perfect event. Music selection is very important for an event and we plan the music to fit the style of the client as well as the guests. It is important to begin planning the music as soon as the contract is signed. Another satisfying aspect of the job is watching the guests enjoy themselves at the event. When people who do not normally dance get up on the floor and have a great time dancing, it makes all the planning worthwhile. The smiles and laughter help to know that the event is a successful one.

I hired Mrs.Knapp for a friend's wedding. She met with us several weeks before the wedding and provided a Huge song list to choose from. There were music selections for each part of th wedding and reception. Her input was more than professional and personal. Her knowledge of the industry was beyond perfect. Mrs. Knapp arrived for the wedding well ahead of time to set up and be ready for that very special day. She was dressed appropriately and acted even more professional. The music selection was amazing although picked by the bride. It sounded perfect, not too loud not too soft. During the reception she kept the crowd entertained by playing anything requested, with the exception of a not appropriate request, as there were children and elderly at the reception. Mrs. Knapp certainly has my business for anything and everything I may need a DJ for. She was very fair with her pricing and went above and beyond to see that the wedding was the best unforgettable moment ever. Thank you again Mrs. Knapp for all you did and for putting your heart into that day for my dear friend. You are simply amazing.

She is fantastic! Had her dj my birthday party and she played exactly what we wanted to hear. She kept the party going all night. Great music and she worked with me to make sure my music list was met! Recommend her highly for all your party music needs. She will keep you dancing!

Kelli handled our wedding and reception. She was outstanding. She handled the timeline of the reception and did so flawlessly. She even handled our changing some of the music the week before the wedding with no problems. She played what we wanted and kept everyone dancing! We plan to use Life of the Party for our anniversary party!

We chose Life of the Party as our wedding entertainment. We are so glad we chose Kelli - everything was perfect. She was so understanding and responsive and helpful with our wedding planning and preparations, and the night of the event, kept the flow organized and timely, and kept me informed as much as needed :) It was good because I definitely lost track of time. Even though we didn't have many dancers in our crowd, she kept the event lively and upbeat. Everyone had a fantastic time, and out of all of the stressful days I've had in the past few months planning and preparing for my wedding, I have to say that the actual wedding day was the least stressful day I've had in months, and a large portion of that is thanks to Kelli and Life of the Party! I would not hesitate to book her again in the future if I'm needing a DJ! :)

Life of the party was exactly what I was looking for when I set out to find a DJ for a sweet 16 ! Kelli really takes her time making sure she knows what you wanna hear, and also knows how to keep the party going =) I would highly suggest her for any event.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend DJ conventions and try to attend a DJ convention on a National level at least once a year. I am always updating my playlist with the latest hits and am always checking the billboard hits. I subscribe to DJ trade magazines as well as network with other DJ's.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been involved in music since I was a young child, and I was even the music provider for my youth choir. As a teenager, I began DJ'ing for my friends parties and then it grew from there.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I help create playlists with the client that best suit their event. I create a do not play list as well, which encompasses any music the client does not want played. I provide unlimited consultations for music choices and I can offer suggestions when a client is unsure of music they want played at their event.
