- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to college right out of high school to learn to be a computer programmer. That was 40 years ago and I have been working with computers since then. A couple of years ago I decided to go into business for myself and have had my own computer repair shop since then.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common work we do is Virus & Spyware removal along with system Tune-up/speed up services. After that we do a lot of Laptop screen replacement, memory and hard drive upgrades as well as Operating System (O/S) reloads.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you are comfortable with the people working on your computers. Make sure that they take the necessary time to properly evaluate you particular issue and give you an upfront idea of what is really wrong, what it will take to fix it, what that repair will cost and if it makes sense to spend that much money on your particular system before you agree to having them do any work or incur any expense. At Kannapolis Computer Repair Shoppe we always let our customers know how much it will cost before we start any repair and if we encounter something unforeseen after we start we contact them and let them know what we found and how much additional it will cost and get their permission to proceed before we go any farther.
