About

I am passionate about helping dogs stay in their home and helping their parents get the best from their dog using positive training methods as recommended by The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior. I am a rescue volunteer and love helping dogs deal with baggage that they may have acquired as no fault of their own. I love when clients tell me that the dog's behavior has improved and so has their relationship. I love to show people that training can be fun for them and their dog. Nobody wants to do it if it is not fun!

Angie and Furever Home Training is awesome. Stella had been rolled by a larger dog on a retractable leash. This event made her anxious around any dog on a leash. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the customer at their home and together we come up with a plan to tackle the issues at hand, explain reasonable expectations and set weekly goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
CPDT- KA, AKC CGC, Various continuing education seminars including those presented by Dr Ian Dunbar and Ken Rameriz. I also take courses through the Pet Professional Guild to stay up to date on the latest scientific positive based training methods.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My love of animals and rescue dogs.
