Introduction: Hey y'all, I'm Sarah! Some things you should know about me is that I have a Master Trainer certification through Highland Canine where I graduated in the top of my class. I also took part in the Paws4people Service Dog Training Program while I was attending UNCW where I got to work with adult service dogs in training for a couple of years. While there, I participated in their puppy development internship where I was able to care for and train service dog puppies from the time they were 2 weeks old until they were about 4 months old, and ultimately got a certification in puppy development when it ended. All of this education has given me a really strong knowledge on dog behavior, socialization, different training techniques as well as how to apply them, and has taught me a lot about patience and how to best work with different breeds and different personalities. My goal as a trainer is to give your dog the best training possible. I choose to customize my training plans to each individual dog so that every dog is set up for success. Very quick introduction before we started. She asked what I wanted out of the training and we began working on it almost immediately seeing results. She has a lot of knowledge. We discussed ways of training (prong/e collar usage) but she is also capable of training without the use of either. I'm looking forward to working with her again very soon.

She is doing great. Absolutely the biggest help. From the first day with her Reggie (our yellow lab) took to the training and did great. Reg loves working with her and she has a knack for trying the right exercise to solve any issue.

Sarah helped me and my husband train our lab when he was a puppy with basic commands and recently also helped us train him using a prong collar since he had a tendency to pull with a standard harness (he's now 2). She is very knowledgeable and understanding of individual dogs needs.

I have a Siberian husky puppy that I was struggling to maintain control and needed help, when I contacted her and told her about my current situation she were very eager to help, and after many training sessions my husky puppy now has obedience training and I also understand what I have to do to maintain his energy and control him better.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have set standard pricing for private lessons and standard board and trains, but the durations of those can vary. Pricing for any of my specialties is dependent on the dog and his/her needs. I also offer a 15% discount for each additional dog you wish to have trained:)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For obedience, I’ll have a conversation with a new customer about what their goals for their dog is and go from there. For other training, I have an in-depth evaluation in order to see the dog and get as much information from the customer as I can in order to create the best plan for the dog.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took part in the Paws4people service dog training program while I was attending UNC-Wilmington, and I also received certification in Puppy Development through the same organization. I also have a Master Dog Trainer certification from Highland Canine where I graduated in the top of my class with honors. Other education: -Dog CPR & First Aid
