FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know about the persons every day life, their desired interaction with the dog, what they want to achieve through the training. I also evaluate the dog's trainability. I then show how to use the methods while explaining them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Animal Behavior College certification. I took online classes that included an apprenticeship with a 20 year trainer. I also study canine behavior on a daily basis in our neighborhood and at dog parks helping handler/owners with troublesome behavior modification.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Molly, our first dog, was a Labrador Retriever. My wife and I had a predetermined idea of what our perfect dog would be. We trained her and achieved all of our goals and then some because of her amazing personality. I so enjoyed learning how to communicate with her during our daily training sessions I decided to get certified so I could help other people have the perfect dog of their dreams.
