General Contracting

This is my first time using Thumbtack and I am very impressed with the outcome! Jeff and his crew were punctual and professional. Very knowledgeable. They took our bouncy 1950’s wood living room floor and reinforced it by sistering floor joists and replacing the girder. Happy with the results! We will definitely use J & J Woodworking in the future! Thank you!

General Contracting

Jeff was amazing. He was super responsive, courteous, took the time to explain things and completed the work the right way. We will definitely utilize him again if we run into any more issues with the structure of our home.

Trim or Molding Installation

I had a great experience with J & J Wood Working Company on trim installation. Pro was professional and quality of work was excellent. He also provided great suggestions on future projects. I will be utilizing Pro for additional projects in my home.

Handyman

I enjoyed dealing with Jeff, he was professional, on time and offered a fair price for the job. I am pleased with his work as well. I will have him come back and do some more jobs. Despite the bad weather conditions, it rained and sleeted the day he began the job. He persevered until conditions made him stop for safety's sake. He came back the next morning with a heater to help combat the cold. He did a good jod installing a storm door on the front and back door, which included some extra carpentry work. I highly recommend J&J Woodworking.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

All jobs are priced on case by case. Each estimate and job is different. It all depends on the product each client wants

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When working with a new customer we provide them with all our credentials and background. We provide them with our business information and all contact information. We explain the process to which we will quote and execute the work. We are very thorough in our explanation of all the work to be completed and the process.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Jeff went to Mesabi Range Technical College in Minnesota and received an associates degree in Carpentry. Jeff went on to work in Florida for a company completing all the interior trim and door installation on all the waterfront properties in Clearwater and surrounding areas. When the recession hit in 2008-2010 in Florida, Jeff was unable to consistently maintain work due to company closure and layoffs. Jeff moved with his wife to Charlotte, NC due to a job in structural repairs. Jeff worked and learned about structural and crawlspace repairs for several years. After several years of work he decided that he wanted to start his own company and that is where J&J Woodworking was born. In 2013, Jeff took a chance and invested everything into starting his own business and has been successful for the past 8 years.
