I’ve updated my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars based on my experience across projects. Robert is a very nice man and pleasant to work with; however, punctuality and organization were ongoing issues this time. He ordered the wrong color hanger rods, forgot some materials (which his wife later had to drop off), and the project took much longer to complete than originally promised. I appreciate his effort, but time management and attention to detail could definitely be improved. 12/30/2025
I highly recommend Robert Johnson with Eastern NC Home Repairs! He responded to my inquiry right away and did an amazing job assembling my TV stand with an electric fireplace. He also mounted my LED lights perfectly on my wall.
Robert was extremely professional the entire time, and I truly felt safe having him in my home — which matters a lot because there are definitely some questionable contractors in the area. His professionalism, quality of work, and prompt communication really stood out.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I became a handy person by buying a property a few years ago as a rental. I quickly found out that finding qualified, competent professionals to help me out at an affordable rate was nearly impossible. So through determination and a lot of YouTube I learned how to do a large variety of home repairs and projects. When I decided to start a business I started out by helping family and friends, and now I feel excited to offer my services to my neighbors in the community.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be to always read the reviews and don’t always go with the cheapest option.
