I found this company quite by chance. I didn't have time for research because I needed an appointment quickly. Oh my am I surprised and pleased. I have had many different carpet cleaning services and never had what I thought was a good one. The Green Zone guy took time, worked hard on spots and was so careful. He was professional and polite. I utilized BB Carpet Cleaning services to clean a mattress for me. I had recently completed chemotherapy and my mattress has a huge perspiration stain from many months of lying in bed. Brian worked diligently to work on the stain and when completed, my mattress looked and smelled fantastic. I would definitely use this service again.

The quality of the cleaning was beyond my expectations. I inherited a house from my dad and it needed a good cleaning. I added the carpet cleaning service and it was professionally done. The crew was extremely thorough and the 20 year old house sparkled like new. I highly recommend them.

Best professional cleaning experience ever. Got a deal on the wet vac service on a move out cleaning. Despite wet vac on carpet service being an add on deal they did a thorough job and explained any spots the machine couldn't get off. During the walk through, addressed all areas that we pointed out. Scheduling was flexible too. Definitely recommend it to everyone in the area looking for cleaners.

Timothy from SuperCare did an awesome job with the cleaning of our carpets, the previous tenants in our home had pets and there were many bad pet stains all over our light colored carpets. Timothy managed to get the carpets looking almost new again... A great alternative to costly carpet replacement! I will definitely recommend SuperCare to my friends and family...

Lynn took my old beat up 98 Crown Vic and made it look like new. I had no idea the carpets would get so clean and that my car could smell that fresh and new again. Thanks for coming to my job and doing such a great job on my car (inside and out).

Matthew and Angela cleaned our carpets a few months ago. I live in Salisbury, NC. They were very professional and on time. They let me know in advance what to expect, how long the job would take and how long it would take for the carpet to be dried. They spend extra time and got the pet stains out of the carpet. My carpet looked like new when the job was finished. Would use them again.

Safe answered my call right away. They came out and did an estimate and worked me in according to my move out inspection date. They did a general cleaning in each room and even cleaned things that they saw were dirty. They also did the carpet cleaning and I was amazed at the job they did. They cleans spots I did not know was there. Thanks Safe!!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

How much does it cost to clean a carpet?

Carpet cleaning costs vary depending on the type of cleaning, such as steam cleaning, and whether there are any stains that require special treatment. The main cost factors are the square footage of the carpet and the material it’s made from. The national average carpet cleaning price ranges from $100 to $130 for a typical suburban home, but steam cleaning prices start at an average of $120. In general, professional carpet cleaning ranges from an average of 20 cents to 50 cents per square foot, depending on where you live. Many companies have a minimum fee or room requirement — such as two rooms for an average of $40 each — and will charge more to clean carpeted stairs or a second floor. Finally, the carpet fiber type, density and pile will also affect the cost of cleaning; man-made fibers are stain-resistant and easier to clean, while wool carpeting is sensitive to water and requires more care.

How much does it cost to clean an area rug?

Whether your pet had an accident, the party got too wild, or your kids can’t control their juice boxes — we all need rug cleaning from time to time. In fact, even if you don’t have a spill or spot, it’s wise to have your area rug cleaned approximately once a year to keep the rug fibers in good health. In general, rug cleaning prices depend on the square footage of the rug, what the rug is made of, whether any repairs are needed, and whether you require the pro to travel to your location or provide pickup and drop-off services. Nationally, average area rug cleaning prices range from $80 to $120.

Wool and silk area rugs typically cost more to clean than rugs made from synthetic fibers because the more delicate materials take more care and may require specialized cleaning fluids. For example, a synthetic rug may cost $1.50 per square foot to clean; a wool, cotton, or chiffon rug could be $2 per square foot; and a silk or Navajo wool rug could cost $3 per square foot. The two most common rug cleaning methods are steam and chemical cleaning. The costs for the two methods are often the same, although a steam-cleaned rug will take longer to dry due to the moisture. If your area rug needs odor removal, moth deterrent, or hand washing, there will be additional charges.
