I travel a lot. Nancy hires nothing but top notch people for her services. I hate being away from my dog Jess and while I am out of town, I know she is getting lots of love, above & beyond care. I get updates and pictures everyday about what all she got to do throughout the day. I would never use anyone else. I first met Nancy when I moved to Raleigh 4 years ago.I was new to Raleigh and needed pet care for my 2 elderly dogs, Abby and Bridget.Nancy was very kind and caring as well as very professional. She and her staff provided excellent care and got back to me right away when I needed service.She still continues to provide great care fro my new dog Ginny who I would not have if she had not posted a picture of her telling me she needed a new home. Also, Nancy and her staff have come to my rescue several times due to the fact at the last moment I needed to stay late for work. Nancy was so helpful and kind during a really difficult family situation. She sent Allison to care for our two dogs. Our big dog warms up slowly to new people so Allison took the time to get him comfortable. They love each other. I loved the text messages and pictures while we were away. Service was initially good. When I fell ill I informed the service that I would be away taking care of my health. The next week instead of checking to see if I was needing help either by phone or email, the service shows up to my empty home. I was a city away for professional medical help. I'm so sorry that you weren't happy with our service Samuel. My sitter arrived on 5 different occasions to walk your dog within a 3 month period , only to find that your dog wasn't there. After the first 2 times we arrived and your dog wasn't there, I emailed and called you to find out if everything was ok. I remember that you responded that you thought if you had paid then there shouldn't be a problem on our end. My sitter reviewed our policies on cancellation with your during the initial hour long consult. We know how important it is to do what we have promised our clients to do . My sitter came on 2 more separate occasions and your Mother was there and informed my sitter that she didn't need to walk the dog. At this point , I emailed you to remind you that you needed to let us know if you were not going to need us to come. When my sitter arrived on the 5th occasion and your dog wasn't there, I called and emailed you to let you know that we could no longer provide service. I didn't know that you were ill. But how could I know ? Neither you or your Mother had contacted me or my sitter to let us know. I hope you're feeling better now and I'm sorry that we weren't a good match for your needs. We really work hard to meet our clients' needs. Sometimes , even though we try, we're just not a good fit when our clients choose to ignore our policies.
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Our basic rate is $22 for a 30 minute visit for up to 2 pets.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I speak with all of our clients by phone before we have our in home consultation. I want to make sure that we are a good match for their needs and that my service is the best option for their pets. I review the policies and gather all the basic information and once I've received the clients' approval, I'm ready to assign a sitter who will then contact the client within 24 hours to schedule the consultation. The sitter comes and meets the client and their pets and gathers all the necessary information so that we can not only provide optimal pet care, but also insure the safety and security of the clients' home. We will fill out our Pet Care Service Agreement as well as a Vet Release Form which authorizes us to respond to your pets' medical emergency if necessary. Then , once the visits are completed, I will personally follow up with the client to insure that the sitter followed their instructions and that they and their pets were happy with the service and care we provided.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have taken a portion of the course in T Touch and I helped to create the NAPPS Certification Course. I renew my Pet First Aid and CPR every 2 years. Most recently I attended a Basic Bird Care workshop taught by Dr. Greg Burkett. Dr. Burkett is one of only 5 or so Board Certified Avian Vets in our state. Certificate in Pet Tech Pet First Aid and CPR; Reiki Master and member of the International Association of Reiki Practitioners;Puppy Care and Nutrition Workshop given by Angel Wasserman of Paws In Training Workshop; Cat Behavior Class given by Dr Barbara Sherman DVM and Dr Orlando DVM ,both of NC State Vet School and licensed in Animal Behavior.
