- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
DVOC Photography does not have a "set pricing standard". Each and every client I work with has different photography needs. My pricing varies upon the nature of the session and work involved.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My children have always inspired my passion for photography. Learning on a Pentax and film in my early twenties, you had to get the shot right the first time. I still have those prints of my children, in my home. Years later and the advances of digital photography, it was still just a hobby of mine...until my husband encouraged me to pursue the passion and turn it into something I can provide for others. I'm self taught and constantly studying all aspects of my profession.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The best advice I offer to every potential client is to make sure you really connect with whomever you choose as your photographer. Before discounting on price, make the time to have either a phone consultation or meet in person. Phone consults are very efficient and you are able to really learn about an individual's personality just by having a phone conversation. Once you feel comfortable with your chosen photographer, you'll be able to let your beautiful soul shine! This is what I call the magic!
