Thomas Grae built a a studio space. I really liked working with George and Shaynaeh. They were professional and the work quality was excellent. They were very helpful taking my vision and bringing it to life. This project was especially challenging because I was not at the house or readily accessible in person. We communicated with texts, Zoom and email, so it was challenging especially choosing flooring, fixtures, bathroom tiles. Shaynaeh was really great understanding my taste and bringing finishes that mirrored it for my selection. There were periodic updates on the progress complete with pictures so I felt connected to the project even though I wasn’t there in person.
We plan on working with them again to remodel our bathrooms.

Thomas Grae is a Professional husband and wife team. They are precise, timely and focused. I was blessed to have them work in my home on two separate projects. The remodeling of my kitchen which included back splash, replacing cabinets and countertops. Also, the building my deck on the back of my home, which is awesome. Next, the remodeling of my bathroom and shower, very excited. This team is dedicated and it shows in their work.

It was my first time using a designer and I was a complete novice. I hired Thomas Grae to redecorate my living room. I was all over the place with what I wanted the room to look like. They were extremely patient, guiding me through the process and genuine in their desire to understand what I really wanted. I think they nailed it!
The job was completed on time and on budget. I would highly recommend them and look forward to using their services again.

Depending on the complexity and duration of a design/build, some projects may be billed on a price per square foot or cost plus basis. Interior design services start at $150/hr. If you are 40 mi outside of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC area please *************************************.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet with you in your home for a collaborative client and designer interview. In doing so we are mutually discovering if the project is the right fit for each other. We discuss details such as your goals for the space, your design style, how you will be using the space, what inspires you, your time frame for completion and your budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Thomas Grae is a husband/wife team with a combined experience of more than 30 years in interior design and construction. As the principal designer and general lead contractor we have equivalent work experience in the trade and hold certificates
