The guys told me that they had a lot of experience and quoted me a price for $1500. I gave them old paint cans with our colors in an oil based mix. I told them, “these are the colors, to match, but this is oil-based and we want latex paint to be used.” I also told them that I wanted a third color for the top of the wall that matched my other colors. One of the guys told me that he had a color that would work and he would show it to me. I made it a point to tell them that I have little people in my home all the time and therefore a semi-gloss would have to be used so I could wash the walls if I needed to. The job included sanding, taking off a popcorn ceiling over the stairs, filling ceiling gaps, and painting. They were given $750 at the beginning of the job as a deposit and to buy supplies and paint. I was told it would be a three day job. On day 2 before I came home from work, they had painted the top wall and above my stairs with the color that they were supposed to show me. Then they proceeded to tell me that the colors I chose “wouldn’t look good.” I asked them to show me. They painted areas on the walls with my colors and they were right, it didn’t match. I wanted to try to resolve the issue, so I agreed to white paint half-heartedly. I was not home on day 3 when they finished, so my adult son handed them the rest of the money. I literally cried when I saw their finished work. -I touch the walls and realized they used flat paint. -They painted over my outlets and outlet covers. -A bottom corner of the room was the color of the upper walls. -They painted around my wooden blinds without moving them, so half of the window sill is painted and the other half is not. -They patched up crown molding, but didn’t sand it properly. -The ceiling has streaks. - Their is paint on the Stain of my stair bannister. -The trim lines are not straight. -They got white paint on my outside water spigot. -They got paint on the brick behind the water spigot. They got paint on my brick steps. -They got paint on the hand rail of my outside stairs. One of the guys forgot his phone when he returned to get it I showed him the problems. He said they would come tomorrow (Friday) and fix them. On Friday I received a text that they would come Monday instead. On Monday morning, they arrived with black interior paint and started painting over the outdoor handrail to cover up the white paint. I told them, you have to clean that first because it had dirt on it. He took a rag and started to wipe. I then noticed he was using indoor paint. The guys were then sent away because they were making the situation worse. We are requesting a full refund and an additional $600 to cover damages.

Hey Mrs Carrie’s sorry for the inconvenience we did finish the job and you paid us for it you left your son in charge to pay us for the work, labor hours we did. The agreement was pay 50% upfront and rest when job completed which we did complete . We did paint the trim with the color you chose brown semi gloss you also asked us to paint the wall the color you chose light brown you asked if you could see how it would look before we continued to paint the trim with the brown semi gloss, you agreed it didn’t match so you proceeded to go with the white paint as is so we had to repaint it again to the color you agreed to go with which was white we did complete our work and did what you asked. Now you called us and said there were some issue we said ok Friday we’ll be there but we had to reschedule for Monday which then we did show up today this morning where your husband came out charging aggressively towards my partner while he started to work on the touch ups outside on the black railes which then my partner decided to go to the car and I came in to speak with y’all as you guys asked me to come in and look I did I heard you guys out we agreed we showed up to do the touch’s up you asked to do even after we were paid for our completed work you guys asked to repaint the whole walls again and trim we said yes that’s fine but we would have to charge you again and that’s where your husband began to yell at me no no no get out aggressively and I did just that you guys ran us off even after we did show up to do the touch ups as agreed you say our work is bad and that’s fine we have before and after pictures but no we we think you just wanted a free paint job we gave you the best price and we still agreed to come like we did to finish any touch ups you asked but your husband and you ran us off. It was a pleasure meeting you guys and working with you have a blessed day.
