About
I’ve spent 20 years in the roofing industry. I’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and what homeowners should never have to deal with. I’ve also seen how easy it is for someone to spend thousands of dollars on a roof they may not even need. That’s a big part of why I started Dominion Exteriors. For the last decade, I helped lead one of the largest roofing organizations in the country. I learned what it takes to deliver a great roofing experience, but I also saw how big-company overhead, aggressive sales tactics, and the constant push for profits can get in the way of doing what’s right for homeowners. Here’s the thing: roofing isn’t rocket science. But the products you use, the people installing them, and the way the job is done absolutely matter. What shouldn’t matter is how big a company’s name is or how impressive their sales presentation might be. I started Dominion to give homeowners the quality, professionalism, materials, warranties, and installation standards they’d expect from a national roofing company, without the inflated prices and corporate overhead. Whether you have a leak, storm damage, an aging roof, or just want a second opinion, we’ll take the time to thoroughly inspect your roof, document what we find, and explain everything in plain English. If you need a repair, we’ll tell you. If your roof is in good shape, we’ll tell you that too. And if it’s time for a replacement, we’ll show you exactly why. I believe homeowners deserve more than just a price and a promise, especially when they could be spending thousands of dollars on their home. You deserve to understand the condition of your roof, what actually needs attention, and why we’re making the recommendations we make. Sometimes that means a replacement. Sometimes it’s a simple repair. And sometimes, the best advice we can give you is that your roof is perfectly fine. At Dominion, we believe the time we spend with you should be about helping you make an informed decision, not convincing you to make one. No pressure. No unnecessary work. Just honest answers, quality roofing, and a fair price. That’s the kind of company I wanted to build, and it’s the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

During a neighborhood roof inspection, Matt stopped by and offered to do a free inspection of our roof. Honestly, when I heard free, I assumed it would be more of a quick, high-level inspection but boy, was I wrong!Matt was incredibly thorough. He took 100+ pictures of our roof and then sat down with us to walk through everything in detail, including the small things that could potentially turn into bigger issues down the road. What impressed me the most was that he did all of this without ever trying to sell us anything! No pressure, no sales pitch just genuinely taking the time to help us understand the condition of our roof and what we should keep an eye on.Its honestly refreshing to come across someone in this business who seems genuinely focused on helping people solve problems rather than simply making a sale. Really appreciate the time and effort Matt put into the inspection. Highly recommend!

I had been convinced for a while that I probably needed a new roof. Mine is around 2122 years old, a lot of my neighbors have replaced theirs over the last several years, and after the hail we had in Clayton in July, I figured it was probably time.Matt offered to come take a look at it. When he got there, I even joked with him that I already knew he was going to come down and tell me I needed a new roof. After doing a full inspection, he came back down and basically told me the exact opposite. He said the shingles were actually in really good condition and he didnt see any significant hail damage or anything that justified replacing the roof. He did point out a few minor things that should be addressed a little blistering on some of the ridge cap, a few pipe boots starting to crack, and a couple small holes in the ridge cap but all of it was repairable. What really stood out to me was when Matt said, Id love to sell you a roof, but you dont need one. He told me that with a few minor repairs, I could realistically get another 510 years out of it, barring a major storm. This is a very large roof, so replacing it would not have been cheap, and he easily could have told me I needed one and made a significant amount of money. Instead, he was completely honest about what he saw.Its rare to find someone who will tell you not to buy something from them when they could easily make the sale. That kind of honesty goes a long way with me. When I actually do need a roof, Matt and Dominion Exteriors will be the first call I make.

Thank you for letting us take a look Garrick! No significant damage or deterioration is always a relief. Sometimes, all you need is a few repairs to make the roof last a little longer! We were happy to deliver the good news and honored that you chose us!
