Dj bones Dj'd our wedding and was absolutely amazing! He was flexible when things changed and easy to work with. Having his wife work with him was a huge plus. She acted as a day of coordinator which was so helpful! I definitely recommend these two as they did a awesome job! He will get a feel for what your guests enjoy and work with it to make everyone have a blast! Thank you dj bones! He helped make our wedding day perfect!Sep 30, 2017Verified
DJ Bones & his wife are the absolute perfect duo when it comes to a wedding! Everything was perfect! Between the music, announcements, games, coordinating, just everything was completely taken care of and truly made it stress free for all of us (especially me being the bride)! I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you for making our day so magical and for making it such an unforgettable experience!Oct 26, 2017Verified

We (my wedding planner, fiance and I) had been communicating with this DJ and said that we'd be booking him. Without warning or any followup he booked someone else for the same date. We had a verbal agreement and he didn't even give us the courtesy of knowing he had another client reach out until he had already booked them. I still wanted to do a consultation with him, as well and never got to even do this. I consider this awful communication and super unprofessional! Thanks for the additional stress during my wedding.Jun 13, 2018VerifiedDJ Bones's reply
To be clear, I sent the wedding planner a contract, an itemized breakdown of everything the bride wanted, insurance coverage information & additional songs/names list information. I asked that she(the bride) reach out to me via email, phone call or text message (she didn't). I instructed her(the bride) to return a signed copy of the contract along with the retainer to me ASAP. I waited 13 days without a contract or deposit. I'm pretty sure the venue, caterer, photographer, videographer, florist,Baker and every other person who's hired for her wedding received a signed contract (of sorts) along with a deposit and/or full payment upon booking. I (somehow) am not important enough for the same courtesy. I did my part and gave more than enough time for her to do her part (every other client does this). So to show her distaste of the situation, she marks me as hired(which I wasn't, no contract,no booking) and proceeds to call me names. Furthermore, there was absolutely no mention to me of a consultation, everything was communicated through her wedding planner. She wouldn't speak with me herself. In short all of this unpleasantness could have been avoided if she'd simply solidified the contract and send it back to me. I can't pay my bills on verbal contracts. I operate on 1st come 1st served and it's been like that since day 1 for me.
Jimi was so easy to work with, very responsive, and did a great job for our wedding! The audio at our outdoor ceremony was clear and all our guests commented that they were able to actually hear what was going on! He set up an awesome show at our indoor reception too. Lights around the room, and even lit up the fireplace. He has so many ideas about ways to entertain your guests during the reception with games and dances. There was not one moment the dance floor was empty! Very happy we hired DJ Bones!Mar 19, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Standard Saturday wedding for 6 hours 1 location starts @ $1000.00
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?YouTube videos are so helpful. I also have a few friends in the DJ/ AV field that keep me up to speed on new technology.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I've always been an audiophile. My wife bought me a set of turntables for my birthday one year and it just kinda took off from there.
