Rick Paxton

Introduction: Speaking engagements on leadership, security, self esteem. I have over 30 years of leadership, including 24 years military, 5 years leading cadets, ten years self employment and 5 years teaching college. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Relations from Appalachian State University, a Master of Arts Degree in Homeland Security from American Military University and am currently writing my Dissertation for my PhD in Homeland Security Leadership and Policy. I also am currently involved with the Maritime Risk Symposium, which researches Maritime Security and its needs and presents the findings. Showing people the path to leadership brings me great joy. I have spent a lifetime in leadership roles but, perhaps, the best one has been leading teenage cadets into the future. Taking a teen who may not have a clue in which direction to go and putting them on a path is a great experience!
