FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For weddings, festivals, or corporate events I have a flat base rate of $1250 for 5 hours. I do lower my event rates during the "off season." Most of my event type business leads come from meeting people at clubhouse parties and night life gigs. For these reasons, I work closely with these types of gigs to establish a win-win deal.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A major attribute of being a professional DJ is to organize the order of events and facilitate the general flow of the evening. I meet with the client before the event date, where we spend some time finalizing the details of the event. I take the work we do that day and create a timeline for the event that I share with the other professionals that I will be working with for that particular event--the manager of the reception venue, the caterer, the photographer, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Believe it or not, my day job is Quality Leader for a major international corporation. Many of the customer interactions and problem solving skills that I apply each day are very helpful for being an effective DJ. However, like any other profession, a good attitude and hard work has made me successful in the corporate world and as a professional DJ.
