FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I aim to make my pricing as simple and straight-forward as possible, while also offering some flexibility. For most jobs, I typically offer 3 different options for pricing / photo package size. There's no hidden fees, travel fees, or any of that.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1: Initial Consultation I start by reaching out via your preferred method—text or phone call. I’ll ask about what you're looking for, the style you’re going for (posed, candid, or a mix), location ideas, and any special details. If you’re unsure what you want, I’m happy to offer suggestions based on what works best for your event or session. For surprise proposals or other high-stakes shoots, I usually recommend a quick 5–10 minute call so we can carefully plan timing and logistics to make sure everything goes smoothly. Step 2: The Shoot Most portrait sessions last 30–90 minutes. I focus on creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere so you can be yourself and enjoy the experience. I welcome my clients to share their ideas or inspirations with me, whether in advance or at the photoshoot. For those that have no idea what they want, what to do, or even how to pose—I am here to help with all of that! Step 3: Delivery I typically deliver fully edited, high-resolution photos within about 1 week. You’ll receive a private Google Photos album via text or email that’s easy to view, share, and download. I’m responsive throughout the entire process and always available for questions. My goal is to make working together as easy and enjoyable as possible while delivering beautiful results you’ll love.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) in 2018 with a BA in Film Studies and a BFA in Creative Writing. While the formal education gave me a strong foundation in storytelling, visual composition, and production, my most valuable training has come from hands-on experience. I’ve been actively creating photos and videos since I was 11 years old. Over the years I’ve gained extensive real-world experience producing, directing, shooting, and editing a wide range of projects—including short films, feature films, commercials, music videos, real estate tours, educational content, and weddings. For the past 5 years, I’ve focused heavily on portraiture, engagements, weddings, and event photography. This specialization has allowed me to deeply develop my skills in both shooting and editing still images. I’m truly passionate about this work—it’s incredibly rewarding to help people capture beautiful, meaningful moments they’ll cherish forever.
