Introduction: I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) with many interesting life experiences. My love for developmentally disabled people and at-risk youth got me into this field and my passion to help people overcome life’s difficulties has kept me in. After 20 years in the Mental Health field, I began integrating an extremely effective approach into my practice called Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR therapy is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference.   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Initial assessments are $200 and sessions are $110 per hour.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    The patient will fill out an intake packet and then schedule an initial assessment. The initial assessment typically takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Ensuing therapy sessions will be scheduled based on a schedule worked out between the patient and the therapist. These sessions will generally be once per week and be one hour in length.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I graduated from East Carolina University in 2012 with a Masters in Social Work. I completed 3,000 hours of post-graduate work and obtained my LCSW in 2017.
