FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The more work you get done, the bigger discount we can offer. Each friend who you tell about us that signs a contract will get you $100 off your project price. Cheap work isn't skilled, and skilled work isn't cheap. You can absolutely find someone who will remodel your house cheaply. Remodeling, paper plates, and trash bags are three areas where you truly get what you pay for. Also know that the cost of building materials has tripled in the past year, so remodels are more expensive now than they used to be. We aren't going to gouge anyone on a job, but we must turn a profit to survive, and our quality of work will exceed the value of the price tag. Example: a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood was around $11 last year, now that same sheet is almost $37 before tax.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will first make phone contact and set an appointment to look at the project in person. Second, we will send a project manager to take measurements, notes, and pictures. Third, the manager will turn those notes in to the estimators. Once they finish the estimate, the manager will contact you and schedule a time to bring the estimate by and answer any questions. Then, when you decide what parts of your project you want to proceed with, we will type up a contract and begin the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our project managers have been remodeling for a living for at least 5 years and dealt with nearly any situation that has come up. They have been tested repeatedly on jobs to find solutions and execute them on their own before they are offered the position.
