They were so great to worth with. PerfectMay 15, 2018Verified
It took them 5.25 hours to move approximately 30 items 13 miles with three workers. They insisted that it was their policy to send 3 workers to any house with a second story, and I paid to watch the third worker sit outside in the truck for an hour while the other two fumbled around trying to figure out how to move my clothes washer. I had already broken down all of the items in order to help aid the process, but that didn't make a difference to them because they were working by the hour. On top of this, they damaged 4 pieces of furniture due to negligence, like using an unpadded hand truck on finished wood surfaces. I specifically asked for our china cabinet to be handled gently, but they even managed to damage that because they never secured the doors on the front. Don't believe them when they say they wrap your stuff for you. What that really means is that they put your stuff in the truck and then throw a blanket over it. Nothing is secure. It took them half an hour just to park the truck in front of my house as if it were a scene out of the keystone cops. As bad as it was watching them try to park a truck, the fact that it took them almost two hours to move my washer and dryer down a set of stairs and up another, was a new type of painful. When I asked if they brought a harness, they insisted that they wouldn't use it because they would rather try to manhandle the items. In the end, they moved the washer and dryer, but destroyed the paint in both stair wells in the process. As disgusted as I was about the entire experience, when I called, the owner, Amy, returned my call personally and ensured me that they would address my concerns. Their way of addressing my concerns was to send someone out with a paint marker to try to refinish my furniture. Needless to say, it still looks like crap. Oh, and they missed the original appointment time for the repairs, and showed up 30 minutes late on the day they finally did show up. At that point, the owner tried to pawn me off on someone else rather than dealing with me. I somehow feel like I would have gotten a more appropriate response had I withheld payment until my concerns were resolved. So, all in all, expect to pay them twice what your move should take, and if you have anything you really like, just move it yourself. It's a lot easier in the long run.Mar 22, 2017Verified
