He spilled a half a gallon of paint on the floor of my HVAC closet while installing a shelf, paint got all over the brand new duct work of the HVAC system. He was more concerned about his shoe covering than the damage he had just done to my very expensive system that I just made my first payment on. He is taking no ownership of this damage and is ignoring my text messages telling him he needs to take accountability for the damage done. I have paint stain on my entry way rug, clothing-a very expensive sweater I was wearing during assisting in cleaning it up that I didn’t think to remove due to the panic, a ruined Swifter mop, a the loss of half is a gallon of $95 dollar a gallon paint. What did he say after creating this mess and damage to my property “this happens”. No, I’m sorry for the damage just “this happens”. I can tell you his work is sloppy while his prices go up. He does not offer discounts for repeat customers as his page suggests in fact if he THINKS you have money he will take advantage. He charged me nearly $700 for a simple toilet installation, a shelf installation and installing a ceiling light. The shade of said kitchen ceiling light found on the floor of my kitchen this morning. I have to replace a brand new toilet he installed because when he did my original upstairs one he told me all toilets are universal so I mistakenly ordered chair height. I am a petite woman and this is too tall. I forgave this due to the language barrier. A end cap of a shower curtain rod popped off after he installed it. All minor things until this. This was the last straw and unforgivable, not welcome back to my home ever again careless act. I have also contacted Thumbtack to try to recoup my costs. I will also be filing a small claims case due to the damage to the duct work. He actually started to carelessly pull at it and I had to shout “stop” when he was doing it out of fear he would rip it and do more damage when confronted about the damage he just did to it that he tried to ignore and wasn’t forthcoming about being damaged. He literally ignored it sitting in the paint and then smeared it all over the duct and bolts holding duct tubing to wall. It’s horrible. It’s terrifying and he will be held accountable. If you trust him in your home you will regret it. I have.

I'm very sorry to hear this experience left the client upset. I take every project seriously and strive to deliver honest, high-quality service with respect and professionalism. During my job, no damage to the HVAC system or property was reported to me. If something had been brought to my attention while I was on site, I would have addressed it immediately, as I always do. I never ignore issues, and I do not run away from responsibility. Regarding the pricing, all services were quoted and approved in advance. I do not raise prices based on assumptions about someone's income. The toilet model was selected by the client, and I completed the installation as requested. If it was the wrong size or height, it could have been discussed before installation. I understand this customer is frustrated, but I don’t believe a public attack and exaggerated claims are the best way to resolve an issue. I’m always open to fair communication and willing to work toward solutions — but it has to go both ways. I stand by my work, and my reputation matters deeply to me. I regret that this situation ended this way.

Andrii is an absolute pleasure to work with. He showed up exactly on time and did fantastic work installing two bathroom fans for us (including fixing a DIY mess we made). His rates were incredibly reasonable for the quality of work provided. What really sets him apart is his kindness and character. He was great with my son, and on his way out, he noticed our front door closer was broken and fixed it for free without me even asking. He is a hard-working Ukrainian immigrant who takes great pride in his craft. Despite English being his second language, communication was easy, and we understood each other perfectly. I will definitely be hiring Handy Gopher Pro for future projects. Highly recommend!

Andrii did a phenomenal job with the projects at hand! He installed a new bathroom vanity which was no small project and tackled it with ease. Adjustments had to be made to the vanity to get it to work properly and Andrii adapted to meet the needs of the project with no hesitation at all. I could not be happier with the work that was done! He also installed a new kitchen faucet and made quick work of the project completing it with no issues. He needed to install two new shut off valves to get it working properly and was able to do so with quality and professional work. Overall, I would highly recommend Andrii for his professionalism and quality of work! If you have a project that you’ve been wanting to complete, don’t hesitate, the gopher is your man.
