Our A/C froze up late in the afternoon on Thursday before the 4th of July weekend. I called one place and they were already closed for the day....they told me the next day that they wouldn't be able to get to my house for 4 days. Not sure who to call, so I submitted my situation on Thumbtack to see if I could get some offers. Toby with Direct Comfort contacted me that first evening. He was able to come out the next day. He found the system way low on freon (the older R22) and suspected the inside coil unit was leaking after seeing it (this is a 16 year old system). He found the leak quickly and gave me an estimate on replacing the coil and also cleaned off the coils of the outside unit. He came out the next day (Saturday) and replaced the coil unit in the house, charged it with nitrogen to test for leaks (found none), put a vacuum on it to remove all air and impurities in the system and then recharged the system. All is working again. Toby did a great job at a very reasonable cost, even charging less than what I thought should probably be expected for his labor. He also explained a lot to me along the way. I would definitely trust Toby to do future HVAC work for me.

I was dreading the call for my HVAC repair. The only thought running through my head was how much $ I'd be charged and how I'd be taken advantage of. To my pleasant surprise, Toby was quick to respond and even offered to come out at 10pm! He charged me very little to come out on a holiday and had the repair done very quickly. I have already told all of my friends about him. I'm extremely satisfied!
