LOCATED IN OMAHA, NE. If you are looking for local in person lessons outside of the Omaha area, I would encourage you to consider taking my online lessons! I will provide you with a unique and unequaled professional level learning experience in the privacy, comfort and convenience of your own home! I have several online National students (including kids that started with no prior experience!). I have over 30 years of teaching experience and graduated from Musician’s Institute in 1991. I studied under guitar greats Nick Nolan, Steve Trovato, Norman Brown, and Jennifer Batten (Guitarist for Michael Jackson and Jeff Beck!) to name a few! I teach most styles from beginner to advanced and specialize in Blues, Blues Rock, Rock, Fusion and Country. I also teach harmony and theory, sight reading and ear training. I also offer gift certificates for lessons!

I am a bit older and always wanted to learn guitar. I have attempted many online options and someone suggested a live teacher. I found Erik through thumbtack and I can honestly say I am really happy to have started this journey. To start I am able to take lessons online through video conferencing. This is a must for me since I have a very busy work schedule. From there Erik had me playing songs right away, which is really rewarding. He also is extremely flexible and helps me learn songs I want to know. It’s actually so cool…I bring up a song I want to play and he pulls it up to listen and works it out right then and there. Pretty amazing to watch. He also spends time answering questions I have about music or certain songs. Honestly it’s been a great experience. Completely painless, low pressure and absolutely rewarding. Definitely recommend.

I would never play guitar by learning myself. Erik makes lessons challenging but still enjoyable. I now believe playing guitar will be possible, even for a 68 year old man.

Erik has been great. My 13-year-old son has been taking online lessons with him for the last few months and the whole process has been awesome. He’s professional, skilled, and reasonably priced. My son is really enjoying the lessons and his skills have been improving.

I couldn’t ask for a better guitar instructor. Erik is a very patient, professional, and experienced instructor. As a beginner, I have benefited from his patient feedback during lessons.
