My father worked in engineering. He build race car engines on the weekend with his friends. He read about repairing old radios before he went to bed. And for my third birthday he bought me a hammer. Never too young to learn. And by the time I was a freshman in high school I was spending most of my free time repairing my parents housing rentals. Told me it was a good use of my time and I’d appreciate it later. I didn’t believe them so much then. But of course with age comes experience. And with experience, wisdom. My love of home building is part of my being to the core. We put some passion in our work and that’s what gives us the edge.
