My dog had a major problem jumping up on our visitors. Carla taught my dog to sit and wait for permission to greet our guest without jumping up on them. I never thought this would ever be a possibility!

Kelley was kind, good with our cats & comes across as a trustworthy person. We're happy customers. :)

I very much enjoy helping people when they need someone to stay at their home and/or take care of their pets when they are out of town. My primary profession is giving piano instruction but have also worked as a Concierge, so I suppose serving others is what primarily motivates me. People trust me to give them the service they need and want.

I will watch your pet(s) for you while you are out of town! I am able to stay overnight if needed! I love all types of pets.

I have loved animals for all of my life. That makes 60 some year!! I am a retired healthy, reliable lady who would not disappoint you, by being irresponsible or not taking proper care of your animals. Since I have been dealing with animals for so may years I have a body of knowledge about them that only comes with age and experience!! As far as my art experience I have been doing portraits of children. adults and pets since the 70's. I have only had in all of those years one person who was unhappy with the portrait I did for them, so I did the portrait over at no extra charge and they were very happy with the second one.

I take care of children, people and animals. I have a ride. I only take cash. I do not do full-time.

We provide pet care and home cleaning. We do daily, weekly or biweekly maintenance of pets and living spaces. This does include giving medicines to your pet.

Hello! I am a college student living in the downtown/midtown area looking to make some extra money on the side. I have 13+ years working with dogs primarily. I live in a house with four mastiffs right now and I was raised with two terriers so basically all breeds are easily manageable for me. Recently I lost 2 of my child hood dogs to cancer so I am looking to be around as many furry friends as possible! :) I can administer medication with the proper instructions, walk your furry friend in one of the most beautiful neighborhood's in town, and do many other things for them! I consider myself to be a very punctual, friendly, caring person. My hobbies include, traveling, boating, going for walks in the Joselyn Castle neighborhood and going to a concert or two. You will always feel at ease when I am watching/caring for your pets!

I provide services to watch and housesit dogs on a limited basis at my residence. My residence has a fenced-in yard and backs up to Baldwin Field.

Let's face it: Our pets become part of our families, an important part. They are our companions, our protectors, and our friends who miss us when we are away. When we leave, our animals do not understand where the rest of their "pack" or their "pride" went, and this can be difficult for our pets to deal with. PAWfect Pet Services takes pride in dog walking and cat care services. I continue to educate myself on the human/animal connection, because I believe the better we can understand animal behavior, the better we can communicate and understand each other. This in turn helps us cohabit with our pets and live a more peaceful existence. Which is why I started PAWfect Pet Services, so I could help you and your pets. Rest assured I will do my very best in making sure that your companions are cared for while you are away, and I am honored with this responsibility. Our services include the following: * Client Consultations * Unlimited Email Consults * Customized Dog Walks * Custom Cat Care Plans * Exercise Plans * Dog Park Adventures * Nutritional Advice * Behavior Modification * Holistic Care Plans

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to hire a house sitter?

House-sitting can be a lifesaver when you’re leaving town for any length of time. Whether you work remotely, you’re taking a much-needed vacation, or you just want to road-trip for a few days, it’s wise to have a pro keep an eye on your house and pets while you’re gone. Your home is more likely to stay safe and you won’t have to wrangle the kitty into a kennel to travel with you. The national average pet-sitting price ranges between $20 and $30. Pet-sitting and house-sitting costs will vary based on where you live in the country and regional labor rates. Another factor in cost is how long you want the house-sitter to stay. Some people prefer to have the house-sitter stay the night at their house, perhaps to care for an elderly pet or simply to keep a watchful eye on the home at all times. Overnight stays will cost more, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on services provided. For day visits, house-sitting and pet-sitting prices will increase incrementally the longer the visit and the more service you want performed. For example, a quick 10-minute visit to feed and walk the pet and bring in the mail could be $12.50, a 25-minute visit could be $18, a 40-minute visit $25, and a 50-minute visit $32. How much should you pay for a pet sitter?

Pet sitting provides your precious pet with in-home care. A pet-sitter can make a brief visit during the day to provide snacks, playtime or affection, or stay at your house for one or more nights to tend to your pet. Prices for pet-sitting will vary based on length of the visit. Nationally, pet sitting prices range from $20 to $30, although prices run higher for your sitter to stay the night. Prices will also be affected by where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pet-sitting prices based on length of time and region:

  • 30-minute visit: $17 in a small Texas town.
  • 30-minute visit: $25 in Southern California.
    • 45-minute visit: $28.
    • 60-minute visit: $32.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $50 in Texas.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $85 in Southern California.
    • 12 hours: $100.
    • 24 hours: $200. This is a good option for a sick, elderly or brand-new pet that needs constant supervision.
