FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I pride myself on not having complicated pricing structures. My pricing is typically based on 4-5 hour and 6-8 hour packages. Since I operate alone, there is no extra cost for an assistant photographer, and there are no hidden fees such as travel etc. I find that some professionals get a bit too creative with their costs, which can be confusing. I also stick with round numbers, because I know when I shop for a professional and I see things like $1476.90, it makes me wonder :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am always looking out for new developments and techniques to improve my craft as I continue to build my business. I am a member of many active photography boards and online communities, and continuously look for different and new ways to better myself for future clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Along with other fine arts, I have held a passion for photography since I was a child, and have since graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Art with a certificate in photography. My works have been published in the International Library of Photography as well as the Photographers Forum Best of Photography Annual, 2007 I first decided to get into my primary line of work as a wedding photographer as a favor to a friend on her wedding day, and ever since then I have fallen in love with helping create lasting memories for people in various stages of their lives, be it weddings, family portraits, maternity, etc. No matter the scene, my goal is to bring out the true character and personality of the subject, rather than simply capturing its purpose.
