I cannot say enough positive things about Jasmin. My husband and I are notorious for ruining posed photos (I can never keep my eyes open, he always has a terrible fake awkward smile), but Jasmin was so easy to work with that we were comfortable instantly, and it shows in our pictures. Her relaxing yet efficient demeanor keeps the photos rolling while everything else is crazy around you. I have gotten so many compliments on our pictures, because they are stunning and capture the emotional, fun and exciting day perfectly. They are not just your average wedding photos - there is an artistic element to them that makes them interesting to look at, while still keeping the traditional elements you need. She responded very quickly and professionally to every detail, and helped me flush out the ideas I had in my head and could not fully verbalize. Basically, if I had to relive my wedding day 100 times, I would hire her 101 times.

Jasmin did a set of promotional shots for my production of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" at the Players' Ring, February 2015. She was able to come in during a rehearsal that had already been scheduled to set up the shots we had earlier discussed with the actors in an extremely timely fashion--even with a few complicated shots that required changing location, she was able to wrap up in about 45 minutes without ever sacrificing her standards of quality or my vision. Attentive to what I had asked for, she was also able to accommodate any unforeseen complications easily and make suggestions to improve the aesthetics of the shot that didn't undermine the thematic intent I had asked for. She edited the photos to my particular requests and got them turned around in a little over a week with easy online access. The work she does is superb; frankly, a bargain at her affordable rates.

I did a boudoir session with Jasmin this past fall. We met beforehand and discussed what I thought would be a unique choice for boudoir - that I wanted to have some shots that were still sexy but (wait for it!)... clothed. She immediately brought out her computer to look for inspiration for the shoot - more of a "vintage pin-up" vibe. I loved her ideas and she even offered to bring some props that were her own items (shoes, a hat, etc.) to use on the shoot! On the day itself, everything was so awesome! We did hair and makeup, and then Jasmin and I just went to the location and played around with the ideas we'd discussed beforehand. She was so calm and funny throughout (which is super helpful in making one feel comfortable for this kind of shoot, let me tell you!) and really helped give me ideas and suggestions without seeming overbearing at all or taking my personality out of the photos. I'm a bit of a shy person, but I was honestly so comfortable and would do it again in a heartbeat! And, of course, the end result is the photos are absolutely GORGEOUS and have the exact classy/sexy/lovely vibe that we discussed! Very very very happy with my choice to use Jasmin for this shoot :)

FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spend the slower winter months taking webinars to learn new photography and editing techniques. I also network with other photographers and have group shooting sessions. We all learn from each other and it improves our work.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out doing microscopic imaging in 1996. I decided not long after that people were much more interesting. There is laughter, love, joy - an endless supply of emotions to capture and share. Capturing memories is my greatest passion.
What types of customers have you worked with?
For portrait and headshot sessions, my job is to capture my client's personality. For weddings, my job is to capture the joy and happiness. To record the day so that you feel like you are there when you look at the photos later. For commercial work, my job is to take a captivating image of the product, show, or movie that makes people want to stop and read more about it.
