Ricky was very professional. Prompt. Explained things thoroughly. Provided updates and photos of the work. No pressure. Inspected and cleaned chimney. Came back to do some minor repairs to the brick and re-waterproof that area. Did all when convenient for me, on time and at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend.
Let me start by saying that I wish I could give Wayne 10 stars, but since I only have the option of 5, that will have to do. Our house is over 100 years old and we are preparing to paint the exterior again. Needless to say, we had quite a "honey do" list of odd repairs that needed attention. Clapboards that were broken or rotting, the railings on the front porch were falling apart, back stairs pulling away from the house, decorative trim that was rotting, brick foundation in need of repointing, new exhaust vents, and finally new doors. Wayne responded to my initial request in record time and stopped by later that day to give me an estimate. Of all the contractors interviewed, he was the only one that completely outlined the work needed with a full materials list and cost breakdown. Others were quite vague and wanted to repair or replace more than was necessary, turning the job into something larger than it really was. That is why I decided to hire Wayne, his straightforward honesty and winning personality sealed the deal. Wayne and his crew started the job immediately and completed it in good time. They cleaned up the yard after and disposed of all the waste materials as well. Earlier I mentioned the decorative trim, he had this ingenious product that was able to halt the rot and preserve as much of the original wood as possible because there would be no way to replicate the trim without spending a ton. This technique was also used on my kitchen bay window, which ended up saving me a fair amount of money in that area. Wayne also went out of his way to find a great deal for my porch door, I described what I wanted and he took care of the rest. Wayne also offered to come back and replace any clapboard that was questionable once the painter gets started. The other area where he excelled was the masonry. I actually contemplated doing the job myself, I'm so happy that I came to my senses and left that up to Wayne. He truly went above and beyond expectations. The brick foundation including the cement pad really needed help. Wayne fixed the grout as well as re-cemented the gap between the foundation and the pad, now when it rains really hard or when snow melts, the basement won't flood. Wayne had really good instincts and advice about tackling the different elements of our project. He approached the job as if he was the homeowner with a budget wanting to spend money wisely. I'm telling you, I can't say enough good things about Wayne and his crew at L & K Construction. I will definitely be using them again in the future.
I'm very impressed with Stephen's quality of work. He replaced my field stone concrete steps with big slabs of granite and also tore up my walk way to install some new beautiful cambridge pavers. It didn't end there, he also ran sleeves for my outdoor powerline and irrigation system since those lines ran under my previous walkway. His pricing was very good and I plan to hire him again for future projects. I also get compliments all the time now from my neighbors when they pass by my brand new walkway :).
Carlos is the man! He showed when he said and delivered a quality product. His price was more than fair, and was just a nice guy! He made brick steps, one brick at a time and I could not be more happy with the results.
We contacted Sean for what we thought would be an easy/quick fix on replacing some old brick front porch steps. Once he began working on removing them, it was clear that the steps had not been constructed well originally (no concrete/block foundation, but just gravel and dirt under the porch landing). Sean gave us options, and we decided to go with a combination of granite and brick. Sean created a beautiful pattern that's reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright, and now I think our front porch landing is the favorite part of our house. Beautiful work, and excellent communication (weather didn't cooperate so well!), and the result? Stunning. We'd definitely contact him in the future.
Kevin stopped by our house last summer to give my husband thoughts on pavers that needed to be installed. This year we decided to hire someone to mow our lawn and my husband told me to contact Kevin because he was impressed by how knowledgable he was about landscaping. We hired Kevin for biweekly lawn care. Had our first service and no complaints - he did an awesome job. Great price! Would recommend his services to anyone.
Ed and his son did an excellent job for me in building my custom bookcase in my bedroom. It is exactly what I wanted and he kept me updated as he went along. Even better, Ed did not ask for any money up front and allowed me to pay him when the job was completed. An excellent team that does excellent work. I would highly recommend both of them.
Sal (Andover Stone) did a great job! Great work, at a fair price. He's responsible, reliable, and trustworthy. We needed lots of earth moved, and we needed a retaining wall. To help us save money, he explained that we could save about $2,000 by going with a boulder retaining wall, rather than the pretty perfect pavers/ bricks. Our boulder retaining wall turned out beautiful! He even reconnected & repaired our irrigation system, for a fair price too. Also, our old back-deck needed two footings to be repaired, and he did that too! Wow, Sal does it all. We will be calling Sal (Andover Stone) again soon. Two thumbs up!
Brent Morrissey is determined to satisfy his customers. Despite being busy he went out of his way to quickly meet with me to discuss the work and write up a quote. My new front walk is lovely and a joy to walk on. He started and finished the work when he said he would. The ground preparation was done properly, and attention was paid to get the grading right for a somewhat tricky transition from the front steps, over a large tree root to the driveway while ensuring water drainage was away from the house. The pavers were carefully installed as described by the manufacturer. Details matter; when using the polymeric sand, I noticed Brent first used a blower to ensure the pavers were dry and clean before wetting the sand. The world is not perfect and it's when the unexpectd happens that you find out what kind of person you're dealing with. Brent and crew are the best. The job was finished and Brent was onto his next job when a subcontractor retreiving his dumpster damaged an edge of my driveway. Brent and crew were right on it and returned promptly to set things right. His crew is very experienced and a pleasure to work with. Yes, I highly recommend Magnolia Site Works.
Steve does great work! Was on time and very professional, yet easy-going and fun to talk with. Steve went out of his way to match the brick of our older chimney to rebuild our hearth to look identical to the aged brick that we were looking for. Will definitely be using Steve for future projects and recommending him to everyone for patio and brick projects!
Randy and his crew built a stone paver walkway and removed a few stumps for me. He did an awesome job - I would use him again.
We wanted an old brick walk from barn to house replaced with stone. Spoke with a big, well regarded outfit in the area, then met Jamie. He understood the idea we had in mind, found a nearby quarry with local granite, figured out how to put the various, random sized pieces in, and quickly, professionally and beautifully put in exactly what we had in mind. Highly recommend him for any stone job.
Rob tackled two advanced installation projects -- installing antique tiles of irregular shape around a fireplace, and popping and replacing brick pavers to fix mistakes made by a previous tiler. There were many aspects of the jobs which were tricky, and only a very experienced and talented craftsman could have handled them. Rob was professional and courteous, knowledgeable about the options available, and kept me informed through every step of the process. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, especially for unique or complex projects.
Robert was originally planned to quote a new deck, and we he arrived, while talking to him, we mentioned other projects we were interested in doing, which he ended up quoting as well. He had detailed quotes to share with us within a week or so after meeting him. We ended up having him re-do our front walkway with stone pavers, and added a new granite lamp-post. He just finished, and it looks amazing. He takes pride in his work, and it shows! It was a pleasure working with Robert on this project. He and his team are reliable, personable and easy to work with, and very skilled. He was open and clear about cost and timing throughout, so there were no last minute surprises. He also offered advice when we needed it, clearly explaining pros and cons of different options to help guide us with decisions. We look forward to working with him again!
Great experience, straightforward, quality work. We will definitely use Wells Tile and Stone again!
I had my driveway extended with pavers which allow a permeable surface. The project was completed on time and at the original cost estimate. The company was efficient and courteous and I will likely hire them again in the future. Fred Quimby
I needed some repointing on interior brick walls. Rick was very easy to work with, and came in at a great price. He cared about not leaving me with a lot of dust and debris to clean up which I really appreciated. The job went quicker than I anticipated (also much appreciated) and my walls look great - no more crumbling mortar.
Jim has worked at my home for the last three years. Each year something a little different. The first two years he built both sets of my Brick/Granite Steps. Then next year he created a Walkway from my steps to my driveway, granite mailbox post and just recently built me a large Stone Patio with a Fire Pit. I have been so pleased with his work. He is great at visualizing the job to help me understand what will look best with colors, and types of stone. Jim is honest, professional, reasonably priced, and always is here to do the work. Thinking of my next project.
Robert repaired a 6 step brick stair, replacing broken bricks and repairing cracked and missing mortar. Excellent job and fair price. Also, tore down and replaced chimney.(60 years old). Excellent job and fair price. Pre job estimate accurate. Clean, neat, no damage to other property. Very Professional!!
Replaced door on bottom of my chimney with a new one and cemented around it left the area nice and clean will and his co worker were friendly and efficient , Decent pricing as well !
Michael has done several jobs for me including a major roof repair/replacement, a brick/tile fireplace and a concrete patio (plus a lot of other small repairs). In all cases the work was done well and on time/budget. Shows up when he says he will and returns calls. Good communication and very high quality. Would definitely recommend (and have, to many people!).
