FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a child my grandfather was a high amateur. He did weddings, events and worked with a friend that owned the local weekly newspaper. His work was good and he loved what he did. When I had a chance to do some photo work (while pursuing a managerial career in insurance), I jumped at it. I worked as a stringer for a local weekly paper (homage to Pop) and started shooting team, individual and action photos. When i insurance job was moved outside the country, my amazing bride suggested I pursue my love as a career.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I am on the field/courtside every day. I not only have the technical expertise with my equipment, but I also have a background as a player and coach that gives me a great opportunity to get the best angle and best shot of all the athletes. As a parent trying to take the same photo, your access will be limited, your equipment will be limited and your ability to modify an image to get the best from it will be limited. My decades of work to get me to this point make my images something you will proudly display at any size or format. I work hard for my clients if I am shooting a tee-ball star, a sports team or a family or sports portrait. Your satisfaction is my priority.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I have had a camera at hand for nearly 50 years. Although i spent a number of years as a coach unable to shoot, but my time on the sidelines with football, soccer, basketball and baseball teams helped me to see action and sidelines in a better way. My ability to "see" action and anticipate what will happen makes me better at my job.
