The work has yet to be started but he has kept me updated on delivery and developments. Working with cabinet supplier to expedite delivery.
Rick is outstanding. He takes great pride in his work, has a tremendous work ethic and makes sure he does it right with no short-cuts. He goes above and beyond to make sure we're thrilled with his service. He's a pleasure to have around the house and genuinely cares about his customer's best interests. We hired Rick six weeks ago to remodel our master bathroom and he did such excellent work that we hired him for the rest of the house. He installed flooring throughout our first floor, put backsplash tiles in the kitchen, installed a farmhouse kitchen with custom-built shelving and has performed several other tasks, including toilet and faucet installation and under-cabinet lighting. I strongly recommend Rick for any project if you want someone who gives his best effort and strives for perfection no matter how big or small the task.
We were very pleased with John Rutter at AAC services! He did an outstanding job of straightening uneven cabinets in our kitchen & installing handles, assembling a bunk bed & installing a chandelier. John is very conscientious about his work. I would not hesitate to hire AAC services for our next project!
Jim and his helper Moses fixed my crank window, realigned my kitchen cabinet doors, changed a light in my bathroom and painted my bathroom. They were a pleasure to work with. Knowledgeable of their craft and kept me informed of what they were doing and why. I would call him again and I would highly recommend him. him. . werpleasure to work with
I am so glad I hired Dave to do my kitchen cabinets and counter top. I have an older home, and a dated kitchen that needed updating. Dave knew when we interviewed him exactly what we needed. I interviewed 4 other contractors and they were driving me crazy with having to get my own, electrician, plumber, sheet rocker, cabinets, sink, everything. Dave has all his own people he likes to work with, and we only had to pick out tile for the backsplash, and the counter top. He even took care of getting the cabinets after bring over a few samples, that we were able to pick from. Being it's an older house, he did run into some problems, and had to do some extra work, which we were totally prepared for. It has happened before. But Dave handled it professionally and quickly, never getting mad that it was going to take some extra time. Dave worked on our kitchen as if it was his own. His attention to detail is amazing, and everything is done right the first time. I would hire Dave again in a minute for anything else I need done. I'm glad I found him on Thumbtack.
Antonio was a great find. We were looking for someone to refinish our kitchen cabinets and took a chance on someone we didn't know through Thumbtack. He did an awesome job. He took the time to do a sample cabinet door to make sure I was getting the look I wanted. He was very responsive to all my questions. I would highly recommend Antonio.
Christina refinished upper and lower kitchen cabinets and a bathroom cabinet. In as few words as possible, "she knows her craft!" excellent quality and timely done! Will definitely hire her for another upcoming project
Dennis was great! Very professional and great to work with. We had him put in new kitchen cabinets and 6 panel doors. He did an excellent job for a very good price. He did work beyond what was contracted and did not charge anything additional. He started within a week of hiring him and finished in less than a week. I would definitely hire him again!
Robert worked on several plumbing problems I had. The first was two leaky bathroom faucets. I thought it was going to be necessary to replace the fixtures, but when Robert inspected it he found that for both it merely required replacing a valve, which was a quick and much less expensive fix. He even suggested a clearer for the lime deposit which had built up and it worked like a charm. Next came my leaky garbage disposal, which had been dripping for over a year. I kept a bowl under it to catch the water. It turned out that though the disposal was working the entire top was rusted and it needed to be replaced. The most difficult and time consuming part was the removal of the disposal since the bolts holding it in place had rusted tight along with the rest of the disposal. Robert used time and patience so that the integrity of my sink and cabinets remained and nothing else was damaged trying to loosen the bolts. Once that was done the rest of the job was completed very quickly and professionally. He even cleaned up after. The entire time was about four hours and this included shopping for the parts and the garbage disposal. I was extremely pleased.
Peter has been an amazing cabinet contractor to hire . I'm so grateful that I found him on this website . His rates are very reasonable and his work is meticulous . He knows what he's doing and it's very evident from the moment you meet him . He had a photo album of before and after pictures that you brought with him when he came for the first time to see my place , which was such a sweet touch in this all electronic world we're living in. I recommend him highly to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, reasonably priced contractor for a high quality kitchen remodel. I will add a follow up once I have finished pictures of my kitchen.
I have had Frank Alparone do many jobs in my home. The first job was when he hung my front door. I had other contractors give me prices and far and away he was the most reasonable, and he did a very good job. Frank consistently charges reasonable and fair prices. More recently Frank renovated 2 bathrooms in my house in Manasquan, NJ. The bathrooms turned out great. Frank does all of the work himself. He shows up when he says he will, and he is very responsive to phone calls. Frank is always on time. He is a nice guy, easy to have in your home. My daughter is a professional architect, and she became very involved in designing the master bath which is not a big room. The tiles she chose were a challenge, and Frank did a great job. I love my new bathroom. So my architect daughter bought a co-op apartment in Union City, NJ. That bathroom was a disaster so she hired Frank to come to Union City to completely renovate that bathroom. He traveled over 60 miles each way and showed up on time. So this is the 3rd bathroom we had him do.This tile job she designed was much more complex than the one at my house. It is a work of art, and Frank did it. He did a great job. Check out pictures on his website. Everyone knows that women are allowed to change their minds, but this could present problems in construction after it is done. So if a builder puts a medicine cabinet in the space that was decided upon, and then the woman doesn't like it, the builder probably won't want to move it cause he basically has to rebuild a wall. Both my daughter and I did that to Frank. He was wonderful about it. I'm sure another contractor would have freaked out the first time when the mother did it, but Frank took a mother/ daughter hit and moved the cabinets. And he made us both happy even though he had so much more work. I tell Frank I think he's the best because I think he is. Most recently the ladder to my attic broke off. I couldn't get to Christmas decorations. I called Frank. He was here the next day with a new ladder and installed it. I could go on and on with neighbors that I have referred him to who are happy with his work, but safe is to say that he is very good at his profession. He is a man that can be trusted. I highly recommend him.
Chris Hintz and Kona Flooring Solutions is simply the best contractor I have ever dealt with. I got three estimates to sand and refinish the hardwood floors in a rental condo my wife and I own. Chris was $1,000 below the next lowest estimate! Not sure if "you get what you pay for" was correct, I decided to go with Chris after I met him and saw first-hand his professional demeanor and superior knowledge of old floors (original floors of a 1918 building). Time was critical since I was doing a renovation of the entire condo and had renters scheduled to occupy the place at the end of the month. Chris and his team arrived right on time and finished the project precisely on schedule. Also, the unit was "spic and span" clean when he left! In addition to redoing the HW floors, Chris also provided me with additional pointers regards the renovation, as well as flooring issues I have with my primary residence (circa 1901). It was as if he couldn't do enough to make me and my wife happy! Since the floors have been done, many of the follow-up contractors working the renovation (electrician, plumber, cabinet installers) have all said "Wow", these floors are beautiful", and indeed, they truly are! We are 1,000% pleased with them. Chris is a total professional. His pricing is superb, his demeanor is great and the quality of his work is superior. Thanks so much Chris for making this part of the condo renovation so easy for me and my wife!
James designed, built and installed a custom library in our hallway. The job was done in New York City and it took about 4 weeks from design to installation. James did an amazing job and he was by far the most responsive and responsible contractor I've ever dealt with. He was answering my emails, phone calls and text messages with the speed of light. I just could not believe he was so helpful all the time and we met in person only once when he came with his son to install the library. I was hesitant to hire someone over the Internet without ever meeting the person and transfer money for the initial deposit through PayPal to someone I did not know and I've never met but I had a gut feeling that I could trust James and I don't regret trusting my intuition. I am very happy I took the risk of uncertainty and went with James. He delivered great quality at a very reasonable price and he was always very reasonable with everything and made adjustments accordingly. One thing to keep in mind about James is that he is very optimistic about time schedules, so allow him a reasonable amount of time to finish his job as he knows best. I am actually looking for other projects now so that I'll have another opportunity to hire James again. I would very highly recommend his services to anybody looking for a cabinet maker. I wish I could post along with this review some pictures of the library. In fact, I am asking people from my coop in NYC if they need a cabinet maker so that I can tell them about James. After dealing with so many crooked contractors over the last year in the course of our apartment renovation, finding James online and working with him gave me some hope that I can still trust people. Thanks for everything James!
I had the privilege of having KAG Urban Mill help my family and I with what would normally be a tedious home rehab project, to a home makeover project that felt as though we were involved (yet never in the way!) from inception, design and with every decision along the way. On time, and eager to not only finish the job, but excited about the process; KAG Urban Mill made what could be a tedious Custom woodwork job (cabinet rebuild with custom crown and base molding in my kitchen and dining areas) to a creative and eco-friendly choice from top to bottom!
Joe emailed me 10 minutes after I posted a request for range top microwave installation. He was here a half hr after that and job was done in less than an hr. Joe noticed my cabinets were not secure and re-enforced them even further. Excellent service and work. Highly Recommended!
