FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is straightforward and reflects the care I bring to each tuning. Standard tuning is offered at a flat rate of $150.00 (includes 2 hours of tuning and $75.00 per additional hour), with no hidden fees. If your piano requires pitch correction or additional servicing, I’ll always provide clear options and pricing before proceeding. 💡 Discounts are available for: - Multiple pianos tuned at the same location - Schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations - Repeat clients who schedule two or more additional tuning sessions within the same calendar year I’m committed to providing quality service at fair rates. If you have unique needs or budget considerations, I’m happy to discuss flexible options.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin by learning a bit about your piano—its make, age, last tuning date, and any known issues. This helps me prepare for the specific needs of your instrument. 📅 Scheduling is simple and flexible. Once we confirm a date, I’ll arrive promptly and assess the piano’s condition before beginning any work. 🔧 Tuning typically takes 1–2 hours, depending on the piano’s stability and whether pitch correction is needed. I use precise tools and techniques to ensure optimal sound and lasting results. 📝 After the session, I provide a brief summary of the tuning, any recommendations for future care, and options for ongoing maintenance if desired. My goal is to make the process smooth, respectful, and tailored to both the piano and the pianist.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training has been hands-on and deeply personal. I’ve spent years working with my own piano and have been playing and caring for the piano at my church since the age of 7. That instrument is now my current restoration project, which has allowed me to refine my skills in tuning, voicing, and mechanical upkeep. This long-standing relationship with the piano has given me a strong ear, a practical understanding of its inner workings, and a deep appreciation for its role in both music and ministry. My goal is always to ensure that each instrument I work on supports musicians with clarity, warmth, and reliability—whether in worship, performance, or personal practice.
