There are plenty of good musical groups in the NYC area. There is ONE Consonance Music Ensembles.
What these guys were able to put together for our events was nothing short of magic. I never heard a ‘no’ or ‘I don’t think we can do that’...
Vasiliy and his team are talented, professional musicians and made our events very special!
Our guests enjoyed the music. They played with emotion, song after song, perpetually outdoing themselves taking the audience on a journey.
Superb performance and services!
I’ll never be able to thank Vasiliy and the rest of the Consonance Music team enough.
If you’re looking for the best… do yourself a favor and book these guys ASAP.

It was a big pleasure working with Consonance Music team. Not only were they amazing at the organizational stage of the event, but they did a great job on our big day. People like them definitely make your event planning less stressful.
Very responsive, personable, professional, accommodating, reasonably priced, flexible with music choices..
And when I say "flexible", I really mean it. They can play everything from classic Mendelssohn to Gotie - to Sia - to Star Wars or Game of Thrones themes, and all in between: you choose..! They also get very creative with the instrument combos. I've heard their guitar/violin, and it sounded just unreal!
We originally discovered Consonance Ensemble and had them playing at our wedding several years ago. Since then, I've been to at least couple of more events where they performed, and everybody - from the hosts to the guests - was really happy about the great job the Ensemble's done. I always recommend them to all of my friends and family. One of my friends, who had Consonance Music playing at their wedding, told me, that they also played at his proposal. He was so impressed how flawlessly everything went, so hired them for the wedding as well.
The other thing I'd like to mention, to get an artist combination you want - book them as much in advance as possible. This will alleviate a lot of stress from you for all these months before your event. One less headache!
However, if, for some reason, your event is right around the corner, I highly recommend still giving them a shot. As the other reviewers mentioned, the Consonance team was able to find the availability in as close as couple of weeks from the event. To me, this says a lot about how well-organized they are.

We strongly recommend the string quartet from Consonance Music. Vasiliy and the string quartet performed the ceremony music for our wedding. Leading up the the event, they were very organized and always promptly replied to our questions or concerns. They supplied a helpful form for us to provide our music selections (for pre-ceremony, processional, etc.). They have a large repertoire including many classical and contemporary string arrangements, and even prepared a custom arrangement ("Melissa" by the Allman Brothers Band) for our ceremony. Their pricing was fair and their musicianship was excellent. We received many compliments on the music at the wedding. With the cost of planning a wedding, we were unsure that we could include live music in our budget. But looking back, it was one of the best choices we made and can honestly say it transformed our ceremony.
