Michael played violin and piano for my ceremony and cocktail hour music at my wedding last night and was simply amazing. Through the whole pre planning process he was incredibly professional and thorough and was able to offer suggestions and advice. Everyone commented on how beautiful the music was at the church and cocktail hour. It was the perfect touch to our special day. Don't think, just book him ASAP!

I felt so lucky to have found Michael on Thumbtack. He was the violinist at a memorial service for my mother, and knew exactly what I wanted as far as the music was concerned. He offered suggestions for pieces we could use that coincided with what I had in mind, and he knew the appropriate amount of time to allot for each piece so the music would not overwhelm the service but enhance it instead, which it did. Michael was easy to contact beforehand and always responded to messages right away. When he performed the audience could tell he was a serious, accomplished musician.

Michael was so amazing. We found Michael a month before our wedding as we had a last minute music-related nightmare for our wedding ceremony/cocktail, and he was totally worth the mini panic attack! He is very professional, very cordial, and very accommodating. He played the piano for our wedding ceremony and the violin (both solo) during our cocktail hour perfectly. He came earlier than the time we requested, and stayed to play the music until after all the guests were seated at the reception. Our guests even complimented that the music was really uplifting (we had no other background music - just Michael!) and that he must have played the entire time without taking a break! I would highly recommend him to my friends/family, and to anyone, and would def choose him all over again! I don't think we properly thanked him as the wedding was so hectic! Thank you so much!

I reached out to Michael when I needed a violinist for my wedding on the 8/26/16. The previous person I had an agreement with disappeared and I was left trying to find a replacement at the last moment. Michael was very professional during this process and kept constant contact with us. . He took very specific music requests and executed it perfectly on our big day. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The baseline pricing is $100/hr of performance time, per person. Travel time and distance also has to be factored in, or if I have to be "on call" for many hours in between, say, a wedding and a reception. $200 is usually the minimum for any given event.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been a musician since the age of five; I wouldn't want to do anything else.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I play for church services, weddings, funerals, as well as concertize as a solo pianist, either in recital or with orchestra. I also am a conductor of symphony and opera and I coach opera singers in preparation for auditions or to appear onstage.
