I just want to say that I have been to several of Scenarios' sessions and have enjoyed them tremendously. At the beginning of the lesson the instructor ( Margie) says that we are all artists and that boosts your confidence. She was kind patient and professional. Even people who have never picked up a paint brush are amazed. The best part is when I look at my painting in the morning and ask myself "Did I truly paint that? "

We are two true beginners taking lessons together. In just 5 lessons, we have amazed ourselves at how much skill we have already acquired. Acquired because Kelsey is a master teacher who understands how to divide complicated processes into manageable chunks. She has maintained the ability to take the perspective of one who does not understand -- so sorely lacking in many others we tried to study with. We plan to continue studying with her for the foreseeable future because the sessions are so relaxing while being challenging, we exercise a different part of our brains, we achieve things we never even imagined possible.

Colleen does an exceptional job of teaching how to see art. I progressed tremendously with charcoal drawing from life under her instruction. She is meticulous with detail and can really help improve one's art by exploiting subtle differences in color and shading. Colleen has shown me many techniques that have help me develop my art skills and I am very thankful for her time and knowledge!

We were looking for an artist to teach our son. Other parents in the neighborhood highly recommended Carolynne because she not only created an amazing commissioned artwork for their home, but they also expressed how delighted they were with the warm connection and how their child responded to her unique art lessons. She is a very talented artist and art instructor with a strong background in elementary education. Each week she arrives with a new painting project and our son eagerly anticipates the class. Professional grade non-toxic materials / tools are used each time and our child responds with his devoted attention and desire to learn a new art lesson. The projects not only teach art history, they are all about the application of new techniques with the gentle guidance she gives. The result is amazing but even more important is that each lesson we see positive growth in his focus and self-esteem. We would highly recommend Carolynne to anyone that is looking for not only expert art instruction, but remarkable creativity, kindness and energy.

I brought my son (7 years old) to Isabelle's studio (such an inspiring fun place) for an art lesson. We came after he got out of school, on a weekday! Isabelle was so welcoming and made my son feel very comfortable from the beginning! She provided supplies, let him choose what type of medium he wanted to use, taught him some great basic techniques, how to hold the brush and how to mix colors. I was encouraged to stay with them in the studio in a comfy chair, got to catch up on some emails and was able to participate too! My son was proud to take home his paintings after his lesson. Throughout our visit, Isabelle and I got to talking and I ended up commissioning her to paint a painting for my son's room. I was able to give her some reference photos... from there she created a piece even better than I had originally imagined. She gave me a realistic time line and price. I am very pleased with her professionalism and have already recommended her to friend's

Karl Soderlund is a true professional. I have been taking oil painting classes with Karl for the past 4.5 years. He has helped me become a better painter/artist because of his knowledge of art and his ability to teach through example and explanation. He has a great deal of patience and dedication with his students, taking a personal interest in each student's ability level and style. In a nurturing way, he develops each student to their full potential, by raising the bar of each finished piece. After painting for the past 20 years, and having other instructors before Karl, I can honestly recommend Karl as the one of the best of the best!

My 8 year old daughter had an excellent time painting with Sam - Sam made sure to follow up beforehand with what Sara would be interested in and want to paint and what supplies I should have so that it went seamlessly -- the lesson was 2 hours which was a little long but we look forward to the next one perhaps just a little bit shorter!

I have participated in a few painting classes with Donna and have very much enjoyed the experience. She guides students not only on a technical level, but also into a creative way of thinking which has helped in my other artistic pursuits using seed beads and textiles. I have been able to view the scope of Donna's work at various exhibits and in her personal collection and am truly awed by her talent. I would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to go on a journey into creative expression under her guidance

Truly unique-this isn't a 'paint and sip' where everyone does the same painting. Here art is created from within, and the final pieces are each different, unique and special.

About

I have an MS in Art Education, and I work with students of various ages and backgrounds. I run a series of art classes for different age groups, with various media, which I teach in my home. I also do various forms of art, such as painting, sculpture, collage, and sell my art as well, In one of these classes, I teach the foundations of art, such as shading and perspective, to even the youngest grades. I have experience teaching all types of art. My approach has always been to focus on encouraging my students to use their own creativity and special talents in a structured manner, in order to create work they can call their own. I also teach arts and crafts classes to kids starting at age three as well as in various nursing homes and assistant living centers. My goal is for the children and adults I teach to always feel a sense of pride and confidence while they produce quality art.

My work in Art stands out over most universities because I fully instruct water colour painting lessons; whereas most universities just briefly cover Watercolour lessons. Watercolour painting is the basis for all other media that you paint; it can greatly improve all your work. We have instructed people that have a Master or Bachelor Degree in Art.
